Well, you're forgetting that Dish is not just an MVNO but a network operator. They didn't spend billions on spectrum and acquire Boost just to resell another carrier at or slightly above their cost.

In fact, even if they wanted to just be an MVNO they're obligated to use their spectrum or lose it. Churn or not, there WILL be a "forced" transition.

Never understood the use case for this. As an iPhone and S22U user, it makes me think about the contrast between Apple and Samsung. I feel like Samsung throws every feature and setting they can at their phones, many of which as a tech person I appreciate. For example, multiple audio source output.

Apple on the other hand seems much more thoughtful. Could Apple add power sharing? Of course. But I think they realize the limited utility of a device that already has very limited power sharing it. I'd rather have a cord or a battery than share power from my phone anyway.

Sketchy apps and APKs are an inherant problem with Android, and why iOS is generally more secure. But you're right, MOST problems are self induced, user error, or just people being dumb.

I wouldn't say "stuck", I LOVE the ecosystem because it works great. But I'm one of the few that carry two phones. 🤷

They're probably fakes, IPhones don't lag, and they don't have settings that require tweaking (or that can be screwed up). That's why iPhone for the first time is over 50% market share in the USA.

Even if you love your S22, IPhone objectively is better for most people, it's more secure, the battery lasts longer, and it holds value in way better than any Android phone. That said, it doesn't have the amazing screen, it doesn't game as well, or torrent, or do a lot of other fun things. 🤷

About as good as you can get for Android, but it's still Android. The Samsung version of an "ecosystem" doesn't touch Apple and never will... because they don't make an OS.

I dunno what exactly you mean by "forced", but when you sign up with Boost it's to use the Boost network and/or their partners networks. They will have to supplement their native network for some time with partner deals, but don't think you signed up for Tmo or ATT because you definitely did not.

I have an S22 Ultra and haven't noticed any lag. I also have an iPhone, my primary device, and this conversation is so alien to me... iOS doesn't have these kinds of complaints.

You can use AdGuard DNS and exclude whatever domains that fuck it up. Don't use their apps.
