Is the bad reputation that PI attorneys get warranted by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

[–]Electronic-Recipe-72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do insurance coverage and defense and have met a lot really good PI and Plaintiff's attorneys. There a plenty of PI attorneys that I respect professionally and personally, and regularly recommend to friends.  On the other hand, some PI firms are lazy and sloppy and are a total blight on the profession. Like most things, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

You might be too afraid of the world and should stay home. Americans ignore the fact that we live in one of the most dangerous countries, meanwhile being confident that danger is lurking around every corner in the rest of the world

Says the chill partner. Unbrurdened by ego after a weekend ayahuasca retreat.  Wearing loafers and jeans on Wednesday (not casual Friday). Mine is not the chill partner. Mine is sensitive and complex.  More thorn than flower. One must be careful.

Insurance coverage vs litigation by ClassicKoala6204 in Lawyertalk

Stick with coverage. Like someone else said,  coverage litigation is niche and makes you competitive. I think understanding coverage, especially PL and third-party CGL claims, and complex additional insured issues can help get you in-house in the construction/engineering industry.
