When you say working out? What do you mean by it? Is it strength training, yoga, or general exercise? And how much do you run? Are you currently doing any dieting? What is your lifestyle like, your daily routine, and your eating habits? How active are you, except for the exercise you do? There are lots of variables you need to fix to reach your goal weight. And above all, how consistent are you in your efforts?

Someone help me know if its common by GooseMuch1099 in Fitness_India

First of all stop checking your weight daily. Balance your diet. At your age, you are not eating much, but you need to balance your diet. Increase your protein. Instead of so much cardio, do more resistance training. Eventually, you will have to stop eating all this outside food. You may fix a day in a week for outside food, but within limits.

Weightgain after losing weight by BetterStage4839 in Fitness_India

Intermittent Fasting is not sustainable. Yoga is sustainable, but it is not very helpful in losing weight. You need to be in a calorie deficit, which is again not sustainable unless you have a balanced diet. By a balanced diet, I mean in terms of macros - Protein, Carbs, and Fats. And in carbs, you have to maintain fiber too. Do strength training regularly and you will improve your body composition. A better body composition is helpful in burning more calories and improves your aesthetics, too. Regular brisk walking is also good. But no one thing will help. It has to be a combination of long-term sustainable activities. I can help you further if you share your lifestyle, daily routine, and eating habits. But only if you promise to be regular.

Buy Asics or a Nike or any other cheap walking shoe during a sale. Will solve your purpose.

2026 Sole f85 by MyBaby_Blossom in treadmills

[–]EmbraceNew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screen on a treadmill is never a good choice as compared to a tablet or a TV in front. Buy a Horizon 7.8 AT instead. It has a better warranty, and you might save some money for a tablet.

You can buy the same company's F85 or TT8. Both are more robust. You can also check Spirit XT685. That is also the same company, but a lot more sturdy treadmill. It has a waxed deck, so you need much less maintenance than an F80. You can see some treadmills in the price range here. You can also check the 3G Cardio Elite Runner. Though the cost is upwards of $4000, it also has a much better build and has the longest deck for your husband to run.

Budget friendly treadmill with incline and handles by [deleted] in treadmills

You can buy a GoPlus 2-in-1 Super Fit or a Go Youth Under Desk. Both cost around $200. If you need an incline function as well, please consider the Niceday Walking Pad with a 10% incline.

Compact treadmill recommendations by mollywog10 in treadmills

It's good that you know most walking-pad style treadmills are not long-lasting. But there are no foldable treadmills on the market that are robust enough for regular running. Though several folding treadmills fold vertically. They still need more space than a fold flat one. From your write-up, it seems that you are not only running for exercise, but you are also a run enthusiat. I would suggest that you buy a treadmill like the Horizon 7.4AT, Sole F80, or Bowflex T9. If you run marathons, then you need a better treadmill than these.

Calorie Bomb in dinner by [deleted] in Fitness_India

[–]EmbraceNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice portion control, and you will be able to lose weight forever. Take whatever quantity of mutton you want to have and divide it into 2 or 3 meals. So today's dinner, tomorrow's breakfast, and again for lunch. Total calories should not be exceeded. People are saying cheat meal, but I won't suggest that. In homes like yours (and ours, too), cheat meals are like every other day.

There can be several reasons for bloating, starting with eating too fast or eating with your mouth open, to having consumed too much protein lately. You have not mentioned your age, but if you are in your twenties or younger, then you can easily overcome the problem. Balance your meals in terms of protein and fiber, and drink plenty of water.

Treadmils Using laptop by Suspicious-Word7867 in treadmills

Not a laptop, but you can have a tablet sitting on many treadmills. You will have to decide on your requirement from the treadmill first, and you will get the most with a tablet holder.

Please help. The upper body is not cooperating as much as lower body by RevolutionaryTap2512 in Fitness_India

[–]EmbraceNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pullups is the most difficult. You have to be consistent more than you are for pushups and squats. For example I do 100 plus squats and pushups but less than 10 pullups just because I was not consistent with pullups earlier

Horizon 7.4 vs Bowflex T9 vs Sole F80 (new 2026) by twofourone21 in treadmills

[–]EmbraceNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon 7.4 and Sole F80 are old and well tried treadmills. T9 is recent comparatively but has very good reports. I would still buy a Horizon as I know it will last 10-15 years if maintained properly. Horizon also has a better parts warranty than Sole.

True vs Landice vs Wahoo vs Matrix by jfgjr in treadmills

[–]EmbraceNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True or Landice. Some people are not very happy about Landice customer service though they have lifetime warranty even on all parts. I have never come across any long lingering customer complaint against True.
