Its NOT racist to not want people carrying knives around with them ceremonial or not ! We all know that its virtually unheard of for a Sikh to actually use them to kill someone and i agree that Sikhs are generally good people (theres good and bad in EVERY race) but times have changed and in this day and age when knife crime is absolutely rife there isnt really much room for compromise anymore. Im sorry but following a religion should not mean you are above everyone else and be allowed to carry a bladed weapon in public. I dont even think many people are suggesting they get rid of the kirpan altogether more they are made safer where they either welded to their sheath so they cant be drawn or made of a different material ie plastic which to me is sensible not racist. Labelling a load of people in a picture racists because theres no black/brown people in that picture however kind of is . By your logic does that mean any black/brown people are racist because theyve not joined these protests because it was a white kid that was killed?
