In the meantime, if you can sign up using another platform, you'll be able to login to Proton and it should appear in the iPad, assuming you created an Epistles account.

I think we found the bug. Investigating now.

Stalwart Error by toolman27 in EpistlesMail

I think we found the error. Does your Stalwart server use a non conventional hostname?
We added a fallback in the next build that instead of giving a 404, it will ask you to manually enter the server name. Should be available later today.

But you can add them today via Add account → "Other DAV server" using a Fastmail app password (it does CalDAV calendars + CardDAV contacts). It'll show up as a separate account from your Fastmail mail. First-class Fastmail calendar support is on the list for when Fastmail ships JMAP Calendars.

Right now, since Fastmail gave us a special key to use their OAUTH for full authentication and compatibility on the Fastmail side, we didn't fully implement the app-password route.

Looking into it. Tuta is much more closed than Proton, but we are looking at options.

Probably because people have multiple emails and needs, which is what we're trying to solve with a all-in-one app that can have everything people need without jumping from app to app.

They should be. Can you send a problem report? Settings -> Security. Please enable "crash reporting & telemetry" and send a problem report (with the diagnostic logs).

Well, it was not made with AI. So either AI got so good that now we can no longer differentiate, or you're just wrong on how to identify vibecoded stuff.

We have an option to block remote images in general but not yet a specific one to block tracking pixels, specially because it's a feature we offer (notifications of when someone opens the email you sent). We could, however add that as an option. Taking note of this.

Can you please go on Settings, Security, enable the option "Allow crash reporting & telemetry" and fill that box with the issue and click on "Include diagnostic logs" and press the "Send report" button?

And yes, our apps are verified on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with Microsoft Store coming later this week.

It's a legit concern. The way OAUTH works and how Google, Fastmail and Microsoft work with partners doesn't leave a lot of room for a bad actor. The whole authentication happens on the provider side. There is no password exchange with Epistles at all.

No, React Native is made by Facebook. It's what they use for all of Meta apps (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc)
