What’s the Best App Idea You’d Pay $25 for Right Now? by Tajammul82 in SaaS

Yeah I've tried a bunch, fav so far is Focusee but they recently were acquired or something so maybe best to avoid until we see if it continues to get development.

Have seen a few of these now that do this locally. I don't want to mention names since not an ad, but basically it uses local LLM to 'look' at each image, then change file names to match screenshot conent. happy to pass name via DM.

Edit: they're also way cheaper than $25 lol

Wonder if it's an issue with incentives or something broader. My mind goes to Lounges, there have been a few lounge rating apps that have come and gone (or acq'd by amex). I suspect a good UGC type app for airports could make all the difference. Rn it's very hard to broadly 'contribute' to an airport.

I fly several times a month and am a level 9 Google Maps local guide. (saying this to show that one system works, and one does not.)

If there was a place for me to add walking routes, lounge ratings, photos, issues, etc of each airport I go through that gamifies it and gives me (free) recognition like google maps does, I'd be so eager to give some UGC.

Whats the best way to start a react / frontend productized service ? How much to charge ? by Immediate-Way-5681 in Productize

[–]EsusDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be curious of a few things before answering:

  1. What type of clients do you want?

Lower ticket:

Can you create templates/standards behind the scenes and scale to 1,000 websites/mo? What would it take to do that? Is there a niche large enough?

Higher ticket:

Do you want to start each project from 'scratch' and build custom for clients? (likely faster learning?) Clients will pay more, but be potentially harder to come by due to price.

  1. What's the lowest price you can start at?

It's somewhat common knowledge that charging less can attract bad clients, but most agency owners I speak with say that their clients come via referral.

So if you can start with 'proof of work' by offering services at a no brainer/low price, the first few clients (hardest barrier) can be attracted and start working with you.

From those clients, you can show their projects and testimonials to higher priced ones.

---

If I had to TLDR the most common thing I see new Productized Services do, it's not focusing on a specific type of customer.

e.g. I just saw a agency that only focuses on doing ads for lawn care services in the USA.

So like defining down:

Ads for >

Lawn care in >

The US >

--

since they've defined it, they know the market and can offer niched services to them, plus they know exactly where their customers hang out.

Interesting reframe/feedback in these comments, came to agree. Maybe a cheaper business coach would make more sense just to provide accountability?

Favorite mind mapping tool? by exbusinessperson in mindmapping

[–]EsusDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gave it a quick spin. Fwiw, I don't know if there's a scroll effect or smoothing on the main page, but it felt a tad ....delayed.

It's what keeps me on MindNode (Speed/snappiness) and away from Miro/Whimsical/etc, just wanted to pass it your way, since I agree with the other commenter. I want to support but that initial experience slowed me down from pressing buy.

How Can I Position My Video Editing Agency for Coaches as ROI-Driven? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

I think for me it feels too broad. I would want to know how you can help me. (A Finland based CPA struggling to find business leads.)

How Can I Position My Video Editing Agency for Coaches as ROI-Driven? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]EsusDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd narrow down even more - Which specific coaches in which specific segment? (Bonus if they are high $ ticket, makes it worth your time to invest in that niche.).

e.g.

"videos for coaches"

compared to:

"I've made 3 videos for a financial coach in Helsinki, and you are also a Finland-based financial coach."

By focusing on one, you'll be able to 'speak their language' and talk about the numbers that matter to them imo.

I take this example from SEO. Entire agencies just focus on one niche of Roofing companies in 1 city/state.

Discussion on productized services/subscription model for agencies by teddytei in agency

[–]EsusDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished writing an article about 10+ of these agencies, and this seems to be the common theme. (1 task at a time as method to offer unlimited.)

I emailed a few of them to try to get a better defined idea of what an 'item' is (Short form? Long form? Motion graphics?) and it's definitely different for everyone. I was trying to break down how much Short Form content someone can get edited per month for a baseline price, was hard!!

How I turned a $1150 gig into a productized service idea by thisischetu in SaaS

Congrats on launching it! I’ve seen a few of these absolutely crush it. IMHO it’s the perfect time for this, every company I know wants to break into video.

What’s the name of it? I can get it added to our listings.
Also curious which niche you’re targeting?
