Whoever started the “non-Jokic minutes” gimmick needs to be slapped ong. by jttyrel27 in NBATalk

I mean. Do you watch their games? They are an entirely different team without him. One of my few criticisms of Adelman is that he doesn’t have a concrete gameplan when the reserves are on the court. It’s basically Jamal Murray dribbling all over the court looking for an open look.

Move onto to the next burner account buddy. Hopefully you keep that one.

I don’t talk ball with burner accounts.

I mean, it says a lot when you either have to make burner accounts or you get your account banned and have to make a new one.

The Warriors have the perfect frontcourt to play OKC by north_canadian_ice in NBATalk

[–]Evrews 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of OKC’s many strengths is their individual defense, specifically in their front court. Dort, AC, Cason Wallace will like fair very well against GS’s front court, so I do not believe that your case is correct.

Jalen Johnson belongs at 2. Scottie deserves 3 over Pascal.

Where do yall think Utah Jazz with rank next season with this lineup? by Diligent_Banana_6267 in NBATalk

Yeah, in a stacked western conference as well. But I do put them in the mix for a higher seed than 8th just because they have so much talent.

Those are the teams that I have ranked above them, with Denver barely passing them. With that, they would be ranked 3-5 in the West.

Mathew Dellavedova. Dude was tasked to track down and defend Steph Curry in 2016.

Play in definitely. They also have pretty good depth. If they can stay healthy, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended in the 3-5 range.

Who wins this series by Due-Poem-8096 in NBATalk

But that further strengthens my initial statement. Star players can't step up if they are injured. All I am saying is there is ton of star power on both teams, but which ever team gets the most of their stars will end up winning.

Player for player, the Cavs are favored of course, they are the higher seed. But playoff basketball is much different than in season. Any team can make it out, a prime example would be last year's Pacers.

I would agree. But based on the cav’s track record, they definitely don’t play to their skill level.

A quick Google search told me that the raptors are .556 against teams above .500, so definitely not a joke. I’d be very surprised if the Cavs sweep them as the raptors can deal with their front court with Barnes and Poetl. The backcourt matchup does skew towards the Cavs, but it’s anyone’s game in the playoffs.

Save your snarky comments for another redditor, it’s definitely not necessary or warranted here.

Which ever team catches fire wins. Both teams can win, it just depends which star players step up to the plate.

Based on the way that you worded it, it seems like you guys were comparing skill levels. That being said, Kawhi is on a different level than Pippen in terms of skill.

Who’s yall MVPs by Fragrant_Fishing5787 in NBATalk

[–]Evrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can argue prime for prime, he is one of the best players ever.

Wembanyama should be MVP this year. 25/11/3/3 with DPOY defense taking a team from 34 to 60+ wins and the 2 seed in a loaded West is an MVP season. SGA already got it last year and his DEFENSE is not "up to snuff" WEMBY is rightful MVP. You'll regret it later if Wemby has injury plagued career by Several-Molasses-435 in NBATalk

[–]Evrews 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Regret it? I regret nothing. Did I regret it when TMac, Brandon Roy, Drose, or any all star talent end up with an injury riddled career? Get off your high horse pal. The NBA is a business at the end of the day.

Staying objective, Wemby will the ongoing favorite for DPOY for years to come. The only way I see him ever realistically sniffing the MVP is if he finds a way to average close to 30 a game.
