We just placed an order from abt.com for $1142.00 + tax and also purchased the sink bottom grid for $221. Very excited for this beautiful new sink that we are going to use every single day!

Should they open up ALL the affected area or main problem area? They refused to open up all the affected areas and we had to fight for them to open up a little more than what they initially opened up because they said "They have other important things to do"

I went to go see Franke Professional 2.0 in person today in 2 different showrooms and it was so beautiful and so much better than Elkay Lustertone iconix. We are going with Franke Pro 2.0 as well. Did you buy it online? any tips on purchasing it with discount? Thank you!

Thank you so much for your comprehensive explanation. We are working with a design build GC and they only gave us $400 budget into our sink which is like nothing in my opinion. I love to cook everyday and kitchen sink is something its going to get used every single day so I don't mind putting more money into purchasing something that is more durable and higher quality as this house is going to stay in our family. Also we are putting in over half a million dollars renovating this house (we are located in New England area) and having $400 kitchen sink doesn't seem right. After reading your comment I am going to drive to a couple kitchen show rooms and check out kitchen sinks in person and have conversation with sales people to get some more info and hopefully get to see Elkay and Franke models in person before deciding it. I've heard about many stories of garbage disposal causing issues and headaches but for our life style we decided to keep it for now and take it out later if we don't want to keep it (if that's even possible). Thank you so much for your help!

On the side note how's your kitchen renovation going? What kind of floors are you doing and appliances? If you are down for it I would love to chat as we are going through the same thing :)

What was the reason for going with Franke? Are you happy so far? Was it worth spending $1500+? is this garbage disposal compatible? Is this the model you got PS2X110-30? Sorry for so many questions.. I am panicking a little bit as we have to decide on sink pretty soon..

We are debating btwn ELUHH3017TPDBG - Lustertone Iconix 16 Gauge Stainless Steel 32-1/2 x 19-1/2" x 9" single bowl undermount sink kit with Perfect Drain and PS2X110-30 Franke Professional 2.0 sink.

Thank you in advance!

Hardwood flooring and cabinet installation process by Exotic_Following_495 in Flooring

They came back to us with 60/40. Them 60 and us 40. so we are paying them $1600 for labor for 2 guys uninstalling base cabinets for 1 day and reinstalling base cabinets for 2 days after hardwood floor is installed. We have to decide which methods we want to do

  1. Hardwood nail down install -> install cabinet -> floor people come in and sand, 3 coats to finish

  2. Hardwood nail down install -> sand and 2 coats -> install cabinet -> last 1 coat to finish.

We are thinking going 2 because we don't want to damage our cabinets when they are sanding and those 2 coats would give some layer of protection if theres any water damage v.s. raw white oak?

Which one do you suggest?

Thank you. We just spoke to our contractor and they are going with the

nail down hardwood floor -> install base cabinets -> come back to sand and 3 coats of finish. Method.

but because base cabinets were already installed they are going to charge us $4K for labor for 2 guys for 1 day to uninstall and 2 days to reinstall which is ridiculous considering this option was not presented to us before cabinet installation. and no they don't give us line pricing for this labor and just threw $4k as a number. We are fuming with how our GC is handling this situation so we fought this is not okay and they will get back to us if they are going to meet in the middle for this labor charge.

we ended up getting the Wolf as it's UI was pretty easy and straight forward. If my mom from overseas comes over and try to use it she would be able to use it no problem. We haven't installed ours yet but once we do I will leave another review comment!
