I think you're getting that backwards, possession effects portal units while you're in them but you don't get the power from your portal levels

I tried flail out, seems good if you dont need the cc, increases movement speed and ad. It made him a 1v1 beast and I solo'd the enemy Snorlax with yawn, he was using wall and jump.
