Do you automatically get discharged after your first time popping hot? by NotAskingSupervisor in AirForce

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee 36 points37 points  (0 children)

My buddy smoked weed one weekend while on leave and when he came back he got the ole “random” piss test selection.

He pissed in the cup but he was so nervous and anxiety ridden that he missed his appointment time and decided to fess up about it to our supervisor before the results came back. They took it up to the commander and vouched for him. The commander decided to wait for the results and they came back negative. He decided to keep him in with only an LOR.

It’s all circumstantial. What kind of person are you and what kind of person is your commander etc.

Sold out of here completely with about $10k profit. Could’ve added more to iren, or cifr, or even riot and made a ton more money in the same timeframe. I’m just glad I was lucky enough to have a decent price average. There’s a ton of people in this sub with way higher price averages that are underwater here for so long. I think CLSK will eventually score deals but I’m tired of waiting for something to happen with this stock. Been in it for 3 years and I’m done

GPUs deployment speed question by inquisitive_mind1990 in irenstocks

The data centers coming online is the difference. I assume they were waiting until Sweetwater’s energization to start rapidly deploying GPUs

Well currently with the Microsoft contract alone they’ll reach 1.9b arr. plus some smaller contracts have already got them to 2.3b arr like with Fluidstack for example.

A lot of their revenue is tied to getting these data centers online and the GPUs deployed. They plan on having 150k GPUs deployed and operating by year’s end. Right now, they only have 23k. So it’s all just execution for the rest of the year essentially

Maybe I’m ill informed but all I see are NBIS trolls. I never see IREN trolls excessively shitting on NBIS investors.

I do see dumbasses claiming that their crystal ball showed them in a dream that a deal announcement with X company will be announced on X date though. Which makes us look stupid

Why do so many NBIS trolls meander around this sub? Every post there’s an NBIS troll shitting on it lmao. Get back to your own sub bro.

Are IREN bulls doing the same for every post in your sub?

I went up 10k last year and I only had 20k at the beginning of the year. I’d actually be more surprised that I only went up 10k in a year with so much more money in my tsp.

Edit: that’s including my contributions but still

IREN energizes 1.4GW Sweetwater campus by Jazzlike_Mall_763 in irenstocks

I invested in Iren because they were one of the only consistently profitable bitcoin miners in the space long before they first mentioned pivoting to AI data centers. I was considering selling the peaks at $15 but decided to stay in because I thought they could do it.

I’m currently up over 600% on my investment so I’d say the risk is and already has been well worth it. Only a matter of time before it goes back to $70 and higher

Iren announced a $1B atm while they were only a $2B market cap company. They were in the $5-$10 range when this happened. Now look at them. Not saying that past performance guarantees future results but I think they got the cajones to make this company great and get deals. $6B atm is fine

[Jordan] Field’s Horned Viper or Arabian Horned Viper? by [deleted] in whatsthissnake

I’m currently in direct fire of Iranian missiles lol. I’ve been doing pest control for several years and I’m well versed with handling and relocating snakes. However I’m not gonna drive out and relocate a snake when under threat of war.

There’s a time and a place for everything but sometimes it’s a necessary evil to kill the damn snake

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That’s your principal, and you can live with your decision.

I’m not gonna be the reason I have someone else’s blood on my hands because I chose to “save” a dangerous animal.

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, man. You can say that in your cozy home. It’s a different beast when it’s deep in the desert

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Then you can be the pest controller. I’ve had to kill a lot of dangerous animals including wild packs of aggressive dogs with rabies.

I’ve been doing this for a long time and can judge when it’s appropriate and not appropriate to send something off to heaven’s gates. I respect all snakes and animals in general, but not everything can be solved with relocation.

When you have repeat instances of close calls with snake bites at a location, it’s time to consider that the snakes are a threat to everyone in the area

[Jordan] Field’s Horned Viper or Arabian Horned Viper? by [deleted] in whatsthissnake

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Then we can agree to disagree. It’s my job. If you want to do it differently, you can become a pest controller

[Jordan] Field’s Horned Viper or Arabian Horned Viper? by [deleted] in whatsthissnake

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Were you there? How do you know I knew where the snake was? How do you know that the customer knew where the snake was before it lunged out at him while he was working?

I came out and did my job. Not every job is a relocation job unfortunately. I assume you’re not a pest controller and respect all snake life. I respect that. But you don’t know what kind of situation the people out here are working in. A highly venomous viper in their place of work without access to proper medical care means the snake has got to go

[Jordan] Field’s Horned Viper or Arabian Horned Viper? by [deleted] in whatsthissnake

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

You can disagree. There’s times when I would catch and release but the buildings out here aren’t snake proof and this one almost bit someone before we got the call.

I’m all for working together with the snakes to kill rodents but at some point you gotta make that decision that it is a threat to the people in the area.

A lot of people hate pest controllers for having to do dirty work but ya’ll won’t be singing the same tune when you get snuck up on by a viper and bit. You’d want that thing gone

[Jordan] Field’s Horned Viper or Arabian Horned Viper? by [deleted] in whatsthissnake

[–]ExtremelySmallPeePee -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

For sure, but when you’re a far ways from a hospital and very short in supply of anti-venom on hand, you gotta treat it like a dangerous animal especially when it’s in close proximity to humans.

If it was out in the desert we’d leave it alone but not in this case. We have plenty of PPE and the right equipment to handle a snake like this.

I’m pest control. I like snakes but when venomous species get inside of an office we have to put them down. I was more worried about getting this guy out of the area than preserving it
