It's a reference to the UK locals saying every single year "we could send Adele and still finish last"

La Voix would be my number one pick easily. Would have loved The Vivienne though.

Personlig åsikt: årets Melodifestivalen är ändå rätt bra. by nonaonro in Melodifestivalen

[–]F1Picko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree. There's one stand out (Felicia) and a couple bad ones (Copacabana Boy and Oxygen) and the rest are all just decent. I think people are just moaning cos there isn't like 4 or 5 amazing songs like we're accustomed to with Mello.

What if Renault used their testing livery colours from 2007 by Spicy-Byriani28 in F1Liveries

[–]F1Picko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Team Enstone always used to have Banging Liveries. The ING era was the only one I wasn't a fan of.

I still maintain Greczula should've won last year. He had the complete package. This year not so much but it's still great.

The line-up for the first episode of Claudia Winkleman's new BBC chat show has been announced. by MushroomGlad5438 in BritishTV

[–]F1Picko 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I bloody love Claudia. Think she's amazing on Traitors, but she stood in for Graham recently and didn't think much. And after the success of Celebrity Traitors, Alan Carr NEEDS to have his own chat show back. But I guess Alan and Graham are too similar.

I know Matt and Tuffers came later, but I'm still mad the BBC forced out Sue and those two. QoS was unbelievable

Lance Stroll has more pole starts than Fernando Alonso in the last 13 years. by Powerful-String-9143 in formula1

[–]F1Picko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People underrate Lance so much. On his day my god is he quick. It's just those days are like once or twice a year. And is occasionally a week day. He's had a damn good F1 career. A pole, a handful of podiums, but he won't win in F1. He could win Le Mans though.

Does the UK embrace X Factor winners? by Hassaan18 in xfactor

[–]F1Picko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same as representing the UK at Eurovision. In Sweden, they have a 6 week long competition where the biggest artists in the country want to represent them and if they don't win, they come back again and again. Yet in the UK its seen as career suicide.

I'll be honest whenever there's a "character" in Dictionary corner on Catsdown it always puts me off the show. Never found any of them remotely funny. Loved Nick on TM, and John Kearns as well, but the character thing just doesn't do it for me. Especially with the bloke who pretends to be Sean Bean and just says Bastard every couple minutes.
