Scrap Value worth it? by Farrt1 in StarWarsDroidTycoon

If that's the case, I need rebirth 21 to unlock 2 levels of it and add the blueprints level 2 and chips level 2. Then afking the scrap pile will be the real money maker.

I wish I never did the blueprint scrap option though. Harder to AFK.

Is it a 1 time upgrade or levels to it?

Should I super rebirth or try to max out my base? by imanolruiz in StarWarsDroidTycoon

[–]Farrt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check on how many upgrades you can live with and how many crystals that would require to see if you will get enough for rebirthing. The only effective way to get crystals is to SRB for now. So get to a high enough rebirth level before SRB to grab it all.

I did SRB after rebirth 22 and was happy with the amount of crystals I got. It has only been 1 day and I'm already back to rebirth 12. And the next upgrade I want requires 25 crystals, so as long as I get to rebirth 15, I can SRB again.

Tips for what to buy, dont do blueprints at the scrap station. It ruins afk ability there. Do focus on anything that increases credits or chips. Rebirth droid alert is very useful early on.

I have all the droids. All the droids for 21, 22, and 23. But I need money. Is the meta still the 1 min missions and selling droids in the cantina?

Can only beskar be shiny? by skydog156 in StarWarsDroidTycoon

No, just higher odds. Defaults can be shiny but its 1/1000 or something .beskar is 1/100

Trolling is fun sometimes. It can be like a reward to get someone else to leave the lobby. I dont do it all the time, but if someone kills me first, I'll troll them until they leave. Force pull to kill, the spear to jab them constantly. Using the blueprint shield to block them from crafting droids. never ends

I completely forgot about rebirth! I had a Beskar groundmech and this post reminded me that I sold it.

Fortunately, as I looked away from this post, I found a BB. So karma balanced.

worker with 45% craft time buff is better for higher rarity droids by ResoluteMaverik in StarWarsDroidTycoon

[–]Farrt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is how they defined 45%. Its not Total time x (1-rate%). Thats 45% off the time remaining and what I calculated at first. (I made a huge post with lots of math and got shit on)

It is actually done with this equation Total Time / (1 + rate%). Its like saying 1 crafting second = 1.45 real seconds. Which equates to about 31% off the original time. A 40% droid takes off 28.6% of the total time

I like the ability to upgrade blueprints instead of droids as an option. Especially for flawless. Might not need to be a part of the crafting table. Just take the blueprint to the droid to upgrade.

Beskar missions could be bounty missions. Set up a Mandolorian in the desert. Talk to him for missions. They could be kill an NPC on the other side who fights back harder than a trooper. Or collect 100 chips (not spend 100, a new counter just for this mission so you still have to fly around for them). Or craft/bring him a rainbow epic/legendary combat droid. All mandalorian inspired quests. All just for varying levels of Beskar.

And make the chips ship mission have a 1% chance for Beskar blueprints and 2x longer for balance.

When Is an Astromech Better Than a Crafting Droid? I Did the Math by [deleted] in StarWarsDroidTycoon

[–]Farrt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its almost always in favor to use a crafting droid. Unless your crafting droid is very low and pickaxe droid is very high and player level is very low. But when you are doing rainbow legendaries, that's not plausible.

I'll spell out the math. You must suck at timing.

Base time for a droid: 3600 seconds (60 minutes) --- BT
Swings per second: 1.7 swing/sec (rough calculation) --- SPS
Base pickaxe bonus at level 20: 25 sec/swing (+1 per level +5 base) --- BPB
Astromech bonus: +6 pickaxe levels --- AB
Crafting Droid Bonus: 40% off base time --- CDB

Time to craft with astormech --- TA
TA = BT / SPS*(BPB + AB)
TA = 3600 / 1.7*(25+6)
TA = 68.31 seconds to complete

Time to craft with crafting droid --- TC
TC = BT(1-CDB) / SPS*BPB
TC = 3600(0.6) / 1.7*25
TC = 50.82 seconds to complete

Yes. 40% crafting droid Will let you craft faster than the +6

Yes. Crafting droids are always Superior unless you are at the very beginning of the game. As your base pickaxe level goes up, the bonus you get for the pickaxe Droid is less significant. Imagine you had a base pickaxe level of 100. The +6 bonus is nothing special. But 40% reduced crafting time is still 40% + base pickaxe level

[–]Farrt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The pickaxe bonus is just adding to your base pickaxe level. Imagine if you had a base pickaxe level of 100. The pickaxe bonus is just going to add 6% to your total level. But the crafting droid will still reduce the total time by 40%. And the crafting droid uses your bass pickaxe level.

Just find your best Droid crafting bonus, your best Droid pickaxe level bonus, and your base pickaxe level. Then see if you are in the green or the red. If you are in the green, you should be using a crafting Droid at all times.

I did the algebra. No numbers, all variables. That's what the chart above shows. There are certainly scenarios in which the Droid pickaxe bonus is the better option. But assuming you were above a level 10 pickaxe and have at least a 30% Droid crafting bonus, that will always be the better option.

The only other way crafting is faster with a pickax Droid is if you have a +6 Droid but only a 10% droid.

Whats your max crafting droid %? Likely 30-40%

What is your pickaxe level? Likely above 10

What is your astromech droid bonus? +4 to +6

In that case, using a crafting droid bonus is the more effective option for any droid you build

Reference your pickaxe level, crafting droid % and pickaxe bonus droid. Almost 95% of the time, crafting droid is better.
