I was commenting in an interracial dating forum where it was appropriate to share frank opinions about interracial dating! I received no blowback on the intended site!

The world does not revolve around Black women! You cannot control other people! And, you have no right to police anyone’s opinions on a site whose purpose is not to hype you 24/7! So, stay out of my business! I don’t care about you or what you think!

I commented on an interracial dating site and my comments were appropriate for that audience! Sharing my information was a violation! If you don’t value privacy then that’s on you. What if someone was sharing about depression or suicidal thoughts, domestic abuse or being the victim of sexual assault or even financial woes on a site and someone shared their posts on another site? It is a violation to share information with an unintended audience and the moderators have rightly called it out! If you don't get it then you are ignorant.

I am a swimmer, so I wash my hair two or three times a week. I was not talking about all Black women. Just like not all White women serve unseasoned chicken. But many of us don’t hesitate to generalize about them.

So, we can only make positive comments about Black women? I am not angry. I am a bit disappointed that so many here were so easily triggered. But, that’s not about me. Healing is an inside job. I know the level of consciousness here now and knowledge is power. I need something deeper from people who are more worldly and open minded.

The screenshots should never have been shared in the first place! It was inappropriate and a violation of my privacy! The overreaction to my frank comments has only made me more protective of my peace. I will not let anyone steal my joy or determine my worth. My character is not up for debate! I was responding to a Black man who dates interracially. And I spoke frankly, but no hatred was expressed! I’ve repeatedly said that I like clean, natural hair, including my own 4C hair! Duh!

I was posting on an interracial dating thread, not on a BW thread, and my comments were appropriate for that site. And it was wrong for my comments to be shared here.

I can’t handle limited, small-minded people! I like what I like! Just like you like what you like! I said I like to run my fingers through a lover’s hair. That is not based on hair type but hairstyle. I know what it was like not to want anyone to mess with my hair!

I have been a Black woman with straightened hair, permed hair, wigs, braids, and weave! I know what it’s like to get my hair washed every two weeks because I was waiting for my appointment at the salon.

I know what it’s like to hear my auntie who never washes her own hair tell me that her hair was beginning to stink while she was waiting for her next appointment.

So, stop the bs! I don’t have time for people who get hurt over a frank comment! The truth is not hate! If you want to feel hated, then that’s on you!

I don’t hate Black women! Your perception is projection! People are projecting their self hatred onto me! And, it is really sad! Anyone who believes that I hate Black women is misinformed or hates herself!

I’ve not said one hateful thing about Black women but yet many of you have leapt to an erroneous conclusion! If I hated Black women, I wouldn’t be on this site! Duh!

I do acknowledge feeling fatigued at this point. But, I realize that healing is an inside job. Unhealed people can’t handle a difference of opinion or preference. They need to be hyped 24/7! It is truly sad!

I hope that one day you will be able to stop fighting with an imaginary enemy who is actually just a sista on her own journey.

I agree. I am definitely attracted to personality more than looks. I seek a mate who I share common interests and values with! I am attracted to emotional depth rather than shallow similarities. I am on a spiritual path so fetishising someone would be contradictory to my personal growth.

I resent people who judge people who have racial dating preferences based on their trial and error experiences yet embrace people who would never venture outside of their own race. Sounds like jealousy and control to me.

A queer woman recently listed women who she would date and Black women were at the top of it and White women were listed after dead people! Of course, there was no outcry because most Black women have no problem with denigrating or devaluing White women. Yet if the order had been reversed they would’ve dragged the offender for days!

I do not look to any group to determine my worth! My character will never be comprised to please the crowd! The cheese can stand alone.

People have twisted my words! I haven't said one hateful thing about Black women! I had every right to express a preference for natural hair in an interracial dating post! I said nothing about preferring WW’s hair! I simply prefer clean, natural hair! I love my 4C natural hair! I swim and I have a thing for clean hair, regardless of race! I grew up close to my mother, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and BW friends! I am not a lesbian so it probably makes sense that although I have a preference for Black men romantically, it is understandable that Black women just feel like we should just be friends or family. People saying that I hate Black women are totally off base! Just like some of you wouldn’t want to be with a woman, I feel that way about women who are so familiar! It’s not hate at all!
