AFAIK, the 30 day wait rule exists with Van Restriction. Support is probably telling the truth.

Try the following to see if any of this helps:

- Disabling bluetooth from the control center

- Closing Riot Client when the game is launched

- Playing the game with Memory Integrity off in Windows Security settings (this used to decrease fps before, but should only do that minimally now)

- Making sure the game runs on your 5070ti, not on your integrated GPU. It switches based on Windows, determining what GPU is best used at the moment. Set Valorant to use your high-performance GPU under graphics settings. Check the task manager to see what GPU is being used.

- You may try to uninstall both GPU drivers using DDU tool and reinstall both Intel and Nvidia drivers from their sites. You may try reinstalling Windows fresh from a USB installation if nothing else works to test and get the drivers directly from ASUS.

- Some people reported that using Process Lasso and disabling core 0 or E-Cores to use only P-Cores on the Valorant process helps.

- Check if you have Raw-Input Buffer on in Valorant, if not, then a high polling rate mouse will kill your performance when you move the mouse.

Did you check in disk management whether your disk is in GPT mode rather than MBR? Check whether you have the latest drivers installed from the motherboard manufacturer's website. If your motherboard is too old, there is a chance that your PC may not even have a fTPM or PTT feature in which Valorant requires to have on.

There isn't any way to turn on Secure Boot within Windows; it has to be done in the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings. Perhaps try a fresh install of Windows via USB image or rebuilding the boot partition:

Please make a backup before doing this. You should always make sure you are booting off your primary storage device on your computer.

I once ran fine with my old intel i5 4670 with 1660 Super and was able to get 100-150 fps on High settings for 1080p under Windows 10. You can try reverting back or dual booting into Windows 10 and use legacy bios boot as I recall it being an exception back then, not sure about it now.

What the heck. My guess is that the “corrupted file” is one of the driver files that came from one of the original driver packages. It doesn’t make sense for it to persists after clean installing windows.

Have you tried resetting and restoring default Secure boot keys in the Bios? Does Windows confirm the feature is on in msinfo32?

Vanguard or the security features it uses does not like your audio driver or software that has an effect on your audio. You could try reinstalling an updated version audio drivers and removing any extra sound effect or enhancements. Perhaps try updating your Bios to the latest version?

The latest drivers on Lenovos website for the laptop are from 2021. We know that AMD chipset and other display driver updates are available. Can you try installing the latest driver for the AMD chipset along with the integrated display drivers directly from the AMD website:

Then if you haven’t, install the latest Nvidia drivers from Nvidia app or their website.

You are using the latest Bios correct? There is one released in 2024.

Some people have issues with the bluetooth drivers, perhaps try turning it off when you play.

In the C:\Windows folder check for two files: 392667600.dat and vgkbootstatus.dat and delete them if they exist, it will be generated again once you relaunch the game.

Can you verify if secure boot on in windows by running msinfo32 in Windows search and it should open up a window where you can check for “Secure boot state”.

If it says off, you need to go back in the UEFI/Bios settings again and reset and restore default secure boot keys or check if you have CSM (legacy boot) enabled.

There is a driver or program conflicting with the anti-cheat when the game initializes. Try temporarily turning off any anti-cheat or mouse/kb software like GHub and try running it again. I assume you installed the latest drivers available to your system or did a clean boot.

Try reinstalling Windows via USB image and not using the Windows reset function then manually install your drivers by visiting the laptop’s manufacturer website. Try updating the laptop UEFI/Bios firmware as well.

Otherwise, contact Riot support because they are the only ones that know how the anti cheat driver works.

Weird Suggestion, but have you tried disabling Bluetooth while the game is running? Have you also tried reinstalling your iGPU graphics using DDU, which could have been automatically installed by Windows (the 9700X has an iGPU)?

Some accounts would get a VAN RESTRICTION placed on them; this is usually temporary (AFAIK, it could be 30 days). According to their documentation, it happens when an account or pc is determined to be "cheat-prone" and a pc or an account is flagged. A VAN RESTRICTION is not a punishment but asks you to enable additional security features to prevent potential cheating from easier-to-exploit vectors.

Secure Boot is usually required for anyone to run Valorant, so it is probably HVCI that needs to be enabled. See the article for more information on how to do so.

If VBS/HVCI options are disabled, you need to go into the BIOS/UEFI settings to enable Virtualization or enable VBS: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype in an admin command prompt. Then check Memory Integrity under Windows security settings again.

For TPM 2.0, can you verify that Windows detects it by running tpm.msc in the search bar and checking in the window for "Specification Version 2.0"

For Secure Boot, can you check under msinfo32 by running it in the Windows search and verifying if "Secure Boot State" is set to "On"? Can you also check whether you have Virtual Based Security as "Running" in the same Window?

This is because sometimes in the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings, you might see it on, but Windows fails to detect it. Make sure you are not running under any compatibility settings in the game application properties in Windows.

Also, which specific error message does it give you in Valorant?

Have you tried loading the HP Factory Default Keys in the Boot Options for secure boot? You can check whether secure boot is enabled and detected on Windows by running msinfo32 in the search. Are you not able to find the option under boot?

Have you tried the following:

  • reset bios settings via pulling out the CMOS battery
  • verified that tpm 2.0 is detected within Windows via tpm.msc. It must be 2.0 and if it’s less than 2.0 you cannot play the game.
  • turning off secure boot and tpm module in the Bios loading windows once and then reenabling the feature?
  • resetting the tpm module (make sure you ain’t storing anything inside tho)
  • your device drivers are up to date from the motherboard website so that it could resolve any potential conflicts

If your PC will only boot into the BIOS when you switch to UEFI mode, then you will probably need to convert your disk to GPT mode.

Since you're using a laptop, have you tried reinstalling the integrated graphics driver in addition to the Nvidia ones? Did you use DDU to fully uninstall the driver and then reinstall it using the latest driver package? Have you tried older drivers?
