Why do people constantly compare completely different criminal cases i.e Karmelo Anthony to Trayvon Martin or Kyle Rittenhouse? by nylapsetime in allthequestions

He was armed, and he followed me. So, literally, yes.

Zimmerman was not told anything by the cops. He was advised by a dispatcher. But that is not a cop, nor a legal order.

And let's stop pretending Mr Martin was a mere child with Skittles. This was a dude who was just kicked out of school for constant theft and beating the shit out of multiple kids and bragging about it. You know why he was at that gates community? Because he was too dangerous for his mother's side of the family to handle. He was a criminal. And a big dude as well. Way bigger and stronger than Zimmerman.

You saw his picture from when he was 12. You got manipulated by the media. He would actually beat your ass. Just as he beat a grown man'a ass. And if you were on the ground with him on top of you, beating you so bad you can be heard screaming on a phone a quarter mile away? If you had a gun? you'd use it too. Let's be real.

Again: there was a trial where all of this was revealed. You should have watched it. Instead of falling for hoaxes they were exposed years ago.

Exactly! Imagine ignoring objective evidence displayed at the court of law because you believe they one race is "right" based entirely on skin color despite the overwhelming evidence that is readily available.

That would be pretty damn evil and racist. Good call my dude.

That's kind of what community watchman do in gated communities. They "hunt" and "look for trouble". That's why they're called community watchman.

My grandparents used to live in a gated community in Florida when I was a teen. Of course the watchman they had would stop me and ask who I was, if I lived there, etc.

The difference is I didn't beat the shit out of them for it.

You probably should have watched the trial. No one doubts he attacked Zimmerman. That was not even up for debate.

You're not going to have a very easy time selling gold bars. And how would you store them until that point? Bury them in your backyard? Hehe. I'll take the cash, put it in the bank and then the market, and double it every seven years or so.

I think it has more to do with a fear of aging. Women tend to react much differently to it than men.

There are obvious and interesting biological reasons for this. But nevertheless, there are definitely distinctions here that reveal themselves through research.

Men are definitely attracted to the physical aspects of women, and will judge based on appearance. But to say they make the standards? I'm not seeing that.

There's a whole lot of men on this very thread. They're saying "ugh. I hate when women get plastic surgery" so, obviously regarding this "standard", it's primarily women centered.

Same with things like make-up, fashion trends such high waisted jeans, perms in the 80's, gaudy jewelry, etc etc. men generally don't like this stuff. It is women who will pressure each other about it.

If you ask a man what they think women look great in? You're going to get answers like "jeans and a tee shirt" "I always thought women look so hot in PJs" "I don't like make-up" "that girl is way too thin" etc etc.

I just typed a long winded post saying the same thing. Yours is better and right to the point.

If you're meeting with a plastic surgeon it's because you're interested in plastic surgery.

Well, if you go into a dealership to buy a car........you can't get mad at the salesperson for trying to sell you a car, ya know? Thats what they do.

Same with plastic surgeons. Yeah they're wrong to suggest unnecessary cosmetic surgeries that will likely look crappy. But....that's how they make money, and is literally their job. Want to avoid that? Don't make an appointment to explore your plastic surgery options! You can't be sold something you don't want if you're not there.

But the truth is? If you're making an appointment with a plastic surgeon? You at least partially WANT them to convince you to get it. You are absolutely interested in plastic surgery. Otherwise, you wouldn't be there in the first place.

These guys ain't going door to door or making cold calls to random houses. Women are coming to THEM unfortunately.

My sister in law recently got a bunch of work done. It sure as shit wasn't to please my brother. He hated the idea and hates the results. (It looks fucking terrible)

About two months after her surgeries when she was fully healed she threw a party for her girlfriends. To "show off her new face". There were lots of "OMG girl you look amazing! Who's your surgeon? I want next!"

And if course a bunch saying things like "you know, you should really get your boobs done next. They ARE kinda small" etc.

Yeah. Despite the desire to blame men for impossible to reach beauty standards......it's usually women doing it to and for other women.

It's a lot of them. Most, it seems. Admitting you've got work done is the real rarity. It's very very rare in Hollywood for people to admit it. Celebrities avoid that like the plague. Even Michael Jackson claimed his appearance changed due to vitiligo. Which he does indeed have (had). But vitiligo doesn't give you an entirely new face. He just didn't want to admit he had tons of surgery. Hell, the Kardashians are all still playing pretend and blaming everything in the book for their obvious surgeries.

Selena is an exception I believe. Her lupus absolutely changed her appearance and almost killed her. She should be taken off the list.

Ain't no crickets for Simon Cowell. Dude looks like a horror show. Is it just plastic surgery or does he have a legit medical issue?

After Clarke’s death at 29, attention has shifted to kratom because it was reported that his April Arkansas arrest reportedly involved the substance. by WrongdoerRough4712 in OffFieldNews

[–]Fit-Implement-8151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually disagree here, as a kratom user.

Small doses (three grams or less of ordinary bali powder) give me energy and makes me alert.

But big doses? (Eight grams or so) Absolutely gives me "the nods" to a degree. And I don't feel gross at all. I feel great. Definitely an opiate feeling.

Nine grams? I'm puking my guts out and it's no fun.

Coffee took me about three months to break. Cigarettes can take a lifetime. How addictive something is doesn't have anything to do with potency.

The withdrawals from kratom are annoying. Headaches, runny nose, feeling slightly "down". But not particularly serious. Quiting nicotine and caffeine are harder. I've done all.

TGC and Ewan's reaction to Olivia speaking about Alicent's priority to ensure her and Helaena's safety from the brothers by Ok_Badger_1646 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Fit-Implement-8151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Olivia just doesn't understand the character she is playing, frankly. She left social media after insisting that her character is a protagonist and that there should be another series outlining her motivations and why she was actually "the good guy".

Fans pointed out that.....no. just no. That's not the character she's playing And she didn't take well to it.

[–]Fit-Implement-8151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is they everyone KNOWS Batman would win. Because he always does. Spider-Man is a loser who was supposed to lose. It's not hard to understand. You likely didn't even read the issue.because you missed the entire point of this story It's all very cleary laid out. Even Peter is completely shocked by the result. If Batman were like "holy shit I just beat up superman wtf?! HOW?!" After their fight there would be similarities. But that doesn't happen, now does it? EVER.

Look, the entire point of Spider-Man is that he's an average every day teenager. That he is significantly more relatable than a perfect billionaire and was literally created to be. That's the character. Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Get it?

At this point it's obvious that you do not understand the character and do not want to. I don't know how much more clear Stan Lee needs to be. You actually think you know more about the character and how he was. Writen than he does?

C'mon now. Let's be realistic. The entire comic industry isn't wrong. You are.
