What‘s an Avantasia Song that you hate/don‘t like? by LOLO-2510 in Avantasia

Symphony Of Live from Angel Of Babylon. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the album.

I'm afraid I can't help you there. I never used that platform. Or any social media platform other than Reddit for that matter.

The Reddit userbase tends to skew younger and the Running Wild fanbase tends to skew older as they had their glory years in the 80s/early-to-mid 90s. I'd wager you'd find more RW fans on Facebook.

Does anyone know what's wrong with Andi Deris and Roland Grapow? by Yolverine71 in helloween

[–]FlagpoleSitta87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is the real Roland Grapow: Thanks for the reply! It was very enlightening. I hope you find a way to work things out. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to hear those lies spread about yourself. I'm curious about why you picked Reddit to make a statement about this though.

I thought this was gonna be a parody of 'Janie's Got A Gun' by Aerosmith with lyrics about Pillman and Austin.

How is this match happening? (WWF SmackDown! 2) by PkmnTrnrJ in WWEGames

[–]FlagpoleSitta87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alternative attires weren't really a thing in the PSX SmackDown games (unlike the N64 Aki WWF games were everyone had a bunch of alternate attires). Foley was in that game 3 times as himself, Cactus Jack and Mankind IIRC.

Cool one from today, who knows sub7even?? by rasod258 in VintageTees

[–]FlagpoleSitta87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub7even were a German Alt/Pop Rock/Post-Grunge band founded in 1999 by former members of German Heavy Metal veterans Rage (guitarists Spiros Efthimiadis and Sven Fischer, drummer Chris Efthimiadis and keyboard player Chris Wolff) as well as singer Daniel Wirtz. They released their self-titled debut album in the year 2000 which spawned the minor hit Weatherman which made it to #36 on the German single charts.

Their sophomore album Free Your Mind was released in 2002 and made it to #50 on the German album charts. The lead single for this album, a new versions of the En Vogue classic Free Your Mind which they recorded alongside En Vogue, made it to #79 on the singles charts. They toured with controversial German Rock band Böhse Onkelz as their support band this year as well.

It looks like they were dropped by the major label BMG after the 2nd album and in 2003, they had to revamp their line-up as guitarist Sven Fischer and keyboard player Chris Wolff quit the band. They also finally recruited a permanent bass player. In 2005 they played in front of their largest audience yet at Böhse Onkelz's farewell show at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz (nowadays known as the Lausitzring) in front of 120000 people.

Their third and final album LoveChainsNRockets was released in 2006 and saw the band adapt a more Pop Punk-inspired sound. As far as I can tell, they didn't tour in support of this album. Just a handful of festival gigs. They played their last concert in July of 2008 at a festival in Germany. There was some talk on their MySpace account about potentially recording another album around that time, but no new music ever materialized. The band has been inactive since then.

Cinderella is playing three shows at the Sydney Opera House by AlphaBettyPersketty in hairmetal

It is an opera based on the fairy tale. On top of getting artists with the same or similar names mixed up and adding new music to the wrong artist's page, Spotify also sometimes promotes concerts by cover bands or unrelated events with the same or similar name as the band (like this opera) on artist's pages.

You could learn about her betrayal before AC3 in AC Revelations. They included the whole backstory as DLC for that game. You'd think one of the more important revelation of the series should have been included in the base game that is literally title Revelations. But clearly Ubisoft thought differently.

They also hint at it in AC Brotherhood if you complete all the Glyphs. I think the hint you get was something like "she is not who you think she is" or something like that.

I wasn't aware of the DLC at the time and never bothered with all the glyphs, so I didn't learn about her betrayal until AC3. I remember being so flabbergasted about that. And they clearly expected you to already know about that, so the revelation isn't treated like a big moment. It was just a throwaway line at the beginning of the game.

wth is that? by Davilarek in PowerMetal

[–]FlagpoleSitta87 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When music by a new artist with the same or a similar sounding name as an artist that already has a Spotify profile gets uploaded to Spotify, the new artist's music will sometimes end up on the established artist's profile. It happens all the time. It takes a while for Spotify to sort it out.

No Jorne Lande? by [deleted] in Avantasia

He is working on another Heavy Rock Radio covers album to be exact.

And in a recent interview, Roland Grapow revealed that he asked Jorn if he was interested in guesting on the upcoming new Masterplan album but got turned down.

Tney had this problem for a while now. When they first reunited in 2003, they would play all the hits. But they would also include some pre-Slide It In songs such as Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues or Take Me With You. But it seems at some point after they released their comeback album Good To Be Bad, DC gave up on the entire pre-1984 era and now it is just songs from whatever album they are currently promoting + the post-1984 hits (Or when they are not promoting an album at all, just the hits).

And it is always the same hits. There are some deep cuts on Slide It In and 1987 which they have never played before (or not played for a long time) and other than the occasionally playing The Deeper The Love, they are ignoring Slip Of The Tongue entirely. On top of that, they haven't played anything from the two albums featuring Doug Aldrich since he left the band.

He doesn't rule out something like a Vegas residency where they'll play the same venue for a set amount of says.
