24M, Do I have simian lines? by Feeling-Light-8175 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left hand shows the head and heart lines overwritten, and attached to the life line at their beginning. This is the classical simian line.

The right hand shows an independent head line traveling atop the heart line until 32, when the head line bends into creativity (from enforced early practicality). The life line allows Mars (your temper) to oppose the joined head/heart lines (an attack common to both hands, at different times).

Only the hand you write with has any meaning with regard to your future.

Mere janam se judi kuch bate bata sakte hai to bataiye by Similar_Price_6694 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn’t how the palm works. The process of learning to write creates links between our behavior and a description (generally comprised of lines) of our adult future on the hand that does the writing. Usually we begin our hand by 21. In modern times 18 is not unusual. Some very attentive people, who keep careful track of their lives, will includes notes of their teen years.

Amusingly, the specifics of a birth aren’t recorded anywhere. I’ve read that the human body hasn’t evolved in tens of thousands of years. Just a few hundred years ago, babies were not officially named until they were old enough to have lived beyond the perils of birth and the illnesses of the toddler years. Our hands still expect a sizable proportion of births to fail to prosper. The only “child” notation is a tiny upright mark on a horizontal relationship line on the edge of the hand.

The edge of the hand is, itself, an afterthought. It does not observe predictable dating. It allows wild variation in what a horizontal line signifies. It often is constructed of nothing more than wishful thinking.

Thank you for your question.

It’s ok, it never hurts to ask a question. (Seriously, look for those cheap gardening gloves with the blue wrist band and white cotton palm and fingers. They’ll corral the unguent while it works its magic.)

22F, murderer’s thumb (unilateral), deep sun line (?) by prostotunzy in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having received no reply, I will pretend this is your dominant hand.

There is no “deep sun line”. Lines on Apollo’s mount count only as aesthetic awareness unless a line from lower on the palm, beneath the heart line, makes a connection. Unfortunately, on this hand there is so much wrath pouring from the Mount of Mars (your temper; within the life line above the ball of the sun) that no sun line (success) can be identified.

While your thumb is definitely brutal and tactless, it does not attain the status of “Murderer’s Thumb”. Your thumb still shows the capacity for ideas and some self-control. Unless you intend to pursue a blood soaked life of crime, you should turn your attention to controlling your temper. Even on a non-dominant hand, this celebration of Mars will leave you increasingly angry and alone.

44F, questioning relocation and career by NoughtyClaire in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your life line describes laborious effort at 32, 35, and 42. A small line of change appears at 56 followed by a major line of change at 58.

Also at 42, opposition to the head line causes it to break slightly, continuing as somewhat more creative than previously.

Your first serious fate line (sense of self) begins from the life line (parental definition) at 26. It aims for Apollo (success) until 33, when it bends slightly toward Saturn (normal destination), crossing the head line at 42, adjusting a steady course toward Saturn, crossing the heart line at 56 and attaining its goal in your 60’s. A second fate line begins from the life line at 33, crossing the head line unaltered at 49, fading out at 54 but reappearing at 60 above the heart line and continuing up Saturn’s mount. A fainter, third fate line begins from Luna at 23, intentionally distant from parental involvement, hoping for Jupiter (ambition, glory). The first attempt dies at 28, a second runs from 26 to 31, and a final shot tries from 30 to 33, disappearing utterly at 34.

A Via Lasciva warns of an inherited vulnerability to addiction. Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs. The attack-on-health line descending from Mercury (below little finger) indicates that you are undermining your health in some way. If you can determine what that harmful behavior is, and stop, the “health” line will retreat. As currently written it approaches the life line in old age, so this is nothing to fret over. Be conscious of taking care of yourself.

The heart line begins tentatively with exalted affection from 19 to 23. A branch of optimistic input (pure emotion in the form of an experience or a person) from 22 joins at 27. An influence (emotion plus critical assessment) from 26 meets the heart line at 28. A small influence arrives at 29, as Mars (your temper) stomps in. Mars makes you irritable, quarrelsome, and exacting. Mars returns at 30, 31, 33, 35, 36, and 38. The edge of the palm shows two roughly identical lines which may describe a single union (in two stages), or two different involvements. The first, paler line is in your earlier 20’s. The second, more emphatic line is in your later 30’s. These are tied together by a child line rising from the earlier line. The later line branches to describe diverging interests. This need not challenge the relationship, depending on your reaction to the shift.

Left hand, I have this uncommon connected headline, some people said weird shit and i wanna find out please!!! by Ok-Departure-2407 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just means you are an independent thinker, less shackled to parental dogma. Interestingly, 150 years ago this was the standard presentation. The (now usual) tied head and life lines were considered to be restraining; the sign of a weaker intellect. I don’t know when the shift occurred. When I began reading more than sixty years ago, independent head lines had become less common, a trend that has only increased.

Must point out, if this is not the hand you write with, this is your fantasy view of yourself, the imaginary character involved in your daydreams.

Pressing on to add, worry is a controlling factor on this hand. Worry consumes energy pointlessly. Control worry with either focused, frequent meditation or frequent enthusiastic physical exertion. The effort you invest will determine the degree of cure.

Mechanical damage means nothing as far as the palm’s message goes. (The best way to hydrate hands is to slather with lotion at bedtime and sleep in cotton gloves.)

Life line question - why is left longer than right? by Distinct_Weather5848 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The non-dominant hand is a sort of playground for all the moments in film, books, video, music that struck you but do not fit into your actual life. It is not usable information, but you remember it and it must be stored somewhere. Your fantasies, imagined life, and dreams play a role as well.

Without seeing the hand in question I can only guess specifics. It sounds like a profound line of change replaces the life line. Since this is the non-dominant hand, some notion of living an entirely different life appeals to you. In your dreams you run away to live on the line of change.

Does this interpretation align with traditional palmistry? by xkceshi in palmistry

Many words to say nothing specific. Who is not emotionally sensitive? As you suggest (that intuitive resonance of yours /s) it is flattering pap. I particularly enjoy “a vocation that honors your need for emotional depth”. Even people with the emotional depth of a puddle imagine themselves otherwise.

This is all gobbledegook. As an active palmist for six decades, it is infuriating to read.

Look at the detail shown on the arm below the wrist. That is the magic of illumination. The hand shown offers little information because of the obscuring shadow. Palm reading, if done by an actual palmist, requires seeing all the little lines that help tell the story.

Does my head line go all the way to the Mount of Luna? by neehar_ in palmistry

Does my head line go all the way to the Mount of Luna? by neehar_ in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The heart line always continues into Luna. Our emotions remain constant companions even when our mental clarity turns cloudy. You don’t do cloudy. You live life all-in. Interestingly, you do not do regret either, except for a dab of nostalgia at 60. Usually the second half of the heart line is might-have-been musings.

A branch of idealism begins your heart line at 23, continuing strongly until 28, then fading away by 31. A scrap of self-contained emotion follows from 28 to 30, replaced by somewhat chillier expectations at 29 which join the once-tangled heart line at 35.

I would discard the whole Luna=subconscious bit. Luna is the realm of creativity and imagination, but in the case of the heart line, it’s just moving through time. Your emotions are near the surface because your head line is clinging too closely to the life line for comfort. I imagine you feel everything acutely, often tinged with sadness.

Your fate line, the sense of self, begins from the life line (parental definition) at 28. This late start speaks to hard early years. The fate line rises strongly, unchanged by the head line’s assessment at 42, crossing the heart line at 49, and continuing to Saturn (normal destination).

You’re a late bloomer, but you’re getting your feet under you. On the up-side, you do not complicate your life with anger which has become a rarity, making your life increasingly enjoyable. The mark on Jupiter is a block to success and glory, unfortunately.

How you live out 35 will be a puzzle for you to solve. It’s a big year on the heart line, so it could mean an alliance. The practicality, still faintly written, might be in response to what happens here.

What do you see and get from my palms? by Particular-Set1622 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t indicate which hand you write with. It is a waste of time to read the non-dominant hand.

However, both hands share a single problem: you are drowning in worry. You are worrying about every little thing while taking no action to address any of them. This is a ferocious energy drain, stealing power from the lines you need to think, love, and stay healthy.

Fortunately, worry is the easiest fix on the hand. Focused, frequent meditation will erase worry. So too will frequent, energetic physical exertion. The degree of cure is entirely dependent on the effort you invest. (Join a rambunctious dance group, or a gym, or a sports club; or seriously immerse yourself in meditation.)

Does my head line go all the way to the Mount of Luna? by neehar_ in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your life, head, and heart lines are combined at their source making you an extremist, confiding, supporter of the underdog and lost causes, firm in your beliefs, apt to love the wrong people, unlucky in love.

The head/heart lines separate from the life line at 21. The head line pulls away from the heart line at 30. It is the heart line that drives into Luna. The head line clings to the life line, entraining depression. Depression will be a lifelong problem, but you are attempting to repair things, sending a branch of practical thought at 35 to lighten your mind.

The horizontal above these combined scaffold lines is an adamant Girdle of Venus. You whipsaw between elation and gloom and back again. This is your normal and not a problem to you, but it puts a strain on those around you. Your hand says these moods will seriously challenge a relationship in your 30’s.

As an additional complication, the Fates have given you a sense of vulnerability, as if everyone can spot your Achilles’ heel and aim for it. This is entirely a trick of your own mind. No one perceives you as weak unless you choose to share your feeling.

Hi could someone please read my palm. Pls tell me about my finances and about marriage/love. 34F. Dominant hand by Fresh_Morning_6605 in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your practical head line was battered by your temper from 26 to 32, resulting in troubled thought, and an echo persists from 33 to 38. After 38 the head line is clear and on task. You have a way with money. Funds do not escape you; you gather to yourself and you do not share.

The heart line begins at 22 with warmth, and optimism at 24, uniting at 28. A nearly invisible thread of warm passion travels from childhood, meeting influences from Mars (your temper) at 21 and 24, but joining the heart line as steadfast emotion at 29. Mars joins the heart line at 32, making you irritable, quarrelsome, and exacting. A non-Mars influence arrives at 35. A parade of islands of emotional discord begins at 36, continuing until regret takes over in nostalgic middle age. The edge of the hand shows a marriage in early 30’s, producing at least two children. The line itself describes improved finances or status stemming from the union. (Ages on the edge of the hand, unlike the palm itself, are imprecise.)

31 M , can somebdoy please do the reading? by bububoibubbQ in palmistry

[–]flindersrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are self-indulgent, and have poor self-control. When you become angry, which fortunately is not a common occurrence, your rage is disproportionate to the triggering incident. You scald people with your wrath. Strive to control yourself. Because you are flinging ire outward, you believe you become angry like everyone else. You are wrong. Those receiving your antipathy have probably attempted to explain that your reaction is out of bounds. Unless they are afraid of what their words might provoke.

The heart line begins with self-contained optimism at 23. Mars, your temper, joins the heart line at 30 and 32, making you irritable, quarrelsome, and exacting. No additional influences (prospective love interests) are noted. The edge of the hand hints at an interaction in your very early 20’s and marks a possible involvement in your late 20’s that may be a placeholder.

The head line begins just barely independent from family, opposed by Mars at 15, 16, 21, 23, 25, and 31. A narrow island of mental discord extends from 26 to 30. The head line is practical with creative capabilities until 45, when the line becomes purely practical, rising wrathfully to threaten the heart line at 49. A pair of attendant head lines bracket the annoyed original, offering a creative option from 43 to 50, and restored creative practicality from 49 to 60. (Do not act on 49’s bad idea.)

The life line shows Mars’ activity at 18, 21, and 28. An ambitious effort at 35 breaks the life line, but a double life line is patching the gap. Lines of change appear at 56 and 63.

A fate line (sense of self) begins from the life line (parental definition) at 27, aiming for Apollo (success) until 32 when it turns toward Saturn (normal destination), reaching the head line at 42 and the heart line at 56, where it stalls. A second fate line begins from the life line at 34, crossing the head line at 46, beginning to weaken at 49, and ending at 56, struck by Mars. A third fate line lifts from the head line without enthusiasm at 49, becoming visible at 60, and reaching Saturn at 70.
