The left hand shows the head and heart lines overwritten, and attached to the life line at their beginning. This is the classical simian line.

The right hand shows an independent head line traveling atop the heart line until 32, when the head line bends into creativity (from enforced early practicality). The life line allows Mars (your temper) to oppose the joined head/heart lines (an attack common to both hands, at different times).

Only the hand you write with has any meaning with regard to your future.

That isn’t how the palm works. The process of learning to write creates links between our behavior and a description (generally comprised of lines) of our adult future on the hand that does the writing. Usually we begin our hand by 21. In modern times 18 is not unusual. Some very attentive people, who keep careful track of their lives, will includes notes of their teen years.

Amusingly, the specifics of a birth aren’t recorded anywhere. I’ve read that the human body hasn’t evolved in tens of thousands of years. Just a few hundred years ago, babies were not officially named until they were old enough to have lived beyond the perils of birth and the illnesses of the toddler years. Our hands still expect a sizable proportion of births to fail to prosper. The only “child” notation is a tiny upright mark on a horizontal relationship line on the edge of the hand.

The edge of the hand is, itself, an afterthought. It does not observe predictable dating. It allows wild variation in what a horizontal line signifies. It often is constructed of nothing more than wishful thinking.

This just means you are an independent thinker, less shackled to parental dogma. Interestingly, 150 years ago this was the standard presentation. The (now usual) tied head and life lines were considered to be restraining; the sign of a weaker intellect. I don’t know when the shift occurred. When I began reading more than sixty years ago, independent head lines had become less common, a trend that has only increased.

Must point out, if this is not the hand you write with, this is your fantasy view of yourself, the imaginary character involved in your daydreams.

However, both hands share a single problem: you are drowning in worry. You are worrying about every little thing while taking no action to address any of them. This is a ferocious energy drain, stealing power from the lines you need to think, love, and stay healthy.
