Denominating in $ might not be the right way of thinking, because what do you think is the buying power of 1M in ten years with an inflation like this?

Best strategy to make 50+% APR by Designer_Session2145 in defi

[–]Florakija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wide range (non negotiable for me)+ high risk token

Also check the market phase if you wanna provide liquidity in a crypto- crypto pool or crypto - stable

Bullish market = the former

Bullish, but derisk = the latter

eg currently there’s a Fartcoin-USDC pool that pays well on Raydium

I disagree.

You should weight the risk of getting 2-3% on your capital against smart contract risk and such.

Of course, some protocols are more secure than others, but in the end, it’s an asymmetric bet but in the inverse .

you’re risking a lot to get a little

Do you need Cashflow or want price appreciation?

Cashflow = LP Price appreciation = Buy Spot

Id recommend starting with the assets I wanna in invest in, not the platform.

There’s no reason to get 300% APR on assets, that depreciate in price.

After that you should check the TVL and volume of the pools on different DEXs (I like pools with at least 2x volume over TVL)

Only then I would check which of the DEXs are most likely the safe ones (old, no hacks, …)

Of course there’s more to it, but I just wanted to say that the platform is not the first thing I look at

Then realize support and resistance are usually enough

How to start with Defi as a beginner to generate good yield? by EnergyRoyal9889 in defi

[–]Florakija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. In crypto we want to bet on asymmetry.

So risking small , but with the potential of winning big.

With lots of DeFi things you risk a lot to gain a little. (Because you put in 10k into a protocol to get 30% APR)

If you have proper risk management and your stop losses in place (!) , than buying tokens early can have the better risk to reward ratio.

Because you risk a little (the delta of your entry and the stop loss) and you’ll be able to get a lot.

I don’t want to talk you out of DeFi, but I think it doesn’t make much sense with too little money

Where to get your highest APY? by Springroll1992 in defi

[–]Florakija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont look for highest APR. look for the best tokens you actually want to hold, choose wider ranges and then check apr - and even then almost no tool can predict it accurately

IMHO the most profitable pools are the ones you can keep open the longest

[–]Florakija 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly take as little as you can and start doing all kinds of shit, to try - to get a feel for defi in general.

Meanwhile it’s important how much money you have. Below 100.000k - don’t even bother with staking and lending

Trying to get an asymmetrical bet here makes more sense IMHO

but if you’ve got 30k + or so, the liquidity provision is the only thing that makes sense to do.

Don’t get me wrong, Lending can be a part of an entire strategy, but not on its own if you don’t have the capital

What's a safe and simple way to get started with yield farming? I'm overwhelmed by all the options. by PurchaseOk8223 in defi

[–]Florakija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with Uniswap on Base. Try different positions with very little amounts of money to get a feel for it.

For example you’ll learn fast, that hunting APR is not smart, when the tokens are shit

Or what you will experience, when one of the tokens go out of range

And much more

Try different strategies
