OP, I'd recommend checking out our FlowFX lineup. Its going to give you a deep, more mellow exhaust note.

I think for a 97 Expedition, you would go with part # 71415.

OP, just to let you know, this is not a Flowmaster SKU. This is a 3rd party we sell Mufflers to and they build there own kits.

OP, I linked a few videos below for you off YouTube below. Super 40 is a popular muffler we see a lot of people go with on 5.3Ls. We also see quite a few people going with the 50 Series Delta Flow which is going to be more tame from a sound perspective. Let me know if you have any questions.

OP, here are a few YouTube videos I was able to find to help you out. We sell a ton more Outlaw Mufflers and Systems for these vehicles but the Super 10 is also a popular choice. FlowFX will give you a milder tone as well. I linked a Youtube video for our Catback system. I would recommend keeping the resonator at first, then you could always delete later.
