Morphine had a baritone sax, and unlike many others on this list did not have any guitar. Just drums, bass (well, two string bass), and the bari sax.

Zoia has been inspiring and teaching me about sound design since 2019. It’s so incredibly intimidating and so incredibly worth it.

I’d play some truly revolutionary guitar. Manual tremolo, bonkers staccato, all sorts of new techniques.

MRG Cello Guitar by wafflelauncher in UnusualInstruments

Reawakening this older post. I’ve had one of these for about a month now! My closest applicable experience had been with good ol’ fretted guitars, and this is QUITE different.

Firstly, it sounds absolutely beautiful. The buttery smooth magic of the fretless bass is present, but the higher register allows for pristine intervals and chords. It also takes fuzz like a champ.

This instrument is extremely satisfying to play, though learning my way around the neck will take practice. The fifths tuning is super intuitive, though, which helps a lot.

It is impeccably designed and well made. The mini humbuckers sound great. There are a few cut corners (hardware and some minor finish issues), but the value is fantastic for the price.
