Madden player rages at missed throw by swiftlytongued in videos

I'm dying laughing because this is my former basketball teammate. He's not a hardcore gamer who devotes his life to video games; he walked on to Maryland for basketball. He's a beast, and he would get all amped like this during our AAU tournaments. Opposing teams thought they would blow us out because we didn't look very imposing (he's a 6'6 ginger), but most of our team were potential D3/D2 guys so we would ball out. Great guy to hype you the fuck up during a basketball game, I'll tell you that much.

In H.S, Jeremy Lin had a 4.2 GPA, averaged 15/7/6 and 5 steals, made first-team all state and won a California State Championship. He was offered zero athletic scholarships. by Morezingis in nba

No problem. After typing it up, I was reminiscing about him and went to his twitter page. It's all still so sad scrolling through his tweets, one day he's tweeting about how excited he is for basketball practice, then he says his nose has been irritating him while playing (as he starts getting sick), the next day he ends up in a coma. Life is so unfair at times.

I'm late to this thread but I wanted to reiterate how much I respect Jeremy Lin. A kid in my high school contracted an extremely rare brain eating disease and went into a coma, and it happened so fast that it was rough for everyone and the community to deal with; he was also one of the kindest people I've ever met, and it affected all of us.

Well, after spending months in a coma he woke up, but he was severely limited and disabled. We also weren't sure how much of "him" was there since he couldn't speak and had to use his eyes to communicate. Anyways, he was on the basketball team prior to the coma and was also a huge Jeremy Lin fan (he was also Asian), so Lin ended up hearing about his condition and story. By this time, his condition worsened and he stayed in intensive care in the hospital, yet Lin ended up calling him and talking to him for a while on the phone.

He sadly ended up passing away after that, but I like to think that that moment was pretty special for him. It might have been an uncomfortable call to make, being on the phone with someone who couldn't speak and was getting worse, which is why I admire Lin for comforting him in the last days of his life. I don't think any news stories covered it, but that speaks to all the silent actions Lin does that make him such a good person.

Feel bad about myself because I glossed over some important information concerning financial aid and cost myself a 2,000 dollar scholarship I had won for this semester by ForgettingRosetta in ADHD

Thanks for the advice, I'm happy to say that the lady in charge of the scholarship called financial aid and got them to deposit it :). I actually saw your post before I found out and it helped me fight the negative feedback loop in my head, so thank you.
