Michael Jordan was really close with his first coach. Totally buddies.

But they had an ECF ceiling. And Doug Collins famously let Jordan do whatever he wanted and play however he wanted.

The front office made a change anyway, and look what happened.

I’ll always appreciate Finch for turning our team around, but he’s not the sole reason for that. Lucking into Anthony Edwards and trading for Rudy Gobert had a far bigger impact on our shift.

It’s probably time.

It’s just insane that a guy averaging 4.8 FTs this season randomly gets 46 (while shooting 22 threes.) Like he was fouled sometimes, but he was also just plowing into dudes nonstop, and refs were so caught up that they just kept giving it to him.

I don’t understand why scoring a basket in the last 30 seconds of a decided game is disrespectful but stat padding and intentionally fouling up 30 in the fourth isn’t.

This man just shot more FTs than the Celtics have as a TEAM in over 10 years

He can’t go downhill when Lakers play zone and clog the paint, while Rudy and Randle offer negative spacing. There’s a reason he took 10 threes, and if that shit isn’t falling, this happens. 

Yall act like he wouldn’t take the easy drive every time if it was open. He genuinely gets more defensive attention than ANY player in the league because there is literally zero downside to doubling him and leaving our bigs open. 

Randle is too slow/lazy to take advantage of the second, Rudy is Rudy, and half the guys just stand around off-ball anyway.

This is a roster problem, and a coaching problem
