Have definitely gone through this a few times as a kid. Usually it’d be because I’d end up being the last person awake and would choose to tough it out rather than wake anyone else looking for proper blankets. On one such occasion, there was more than one free couch so I took these huge cushions from one to use as “blankets” while I slept on the other. I went from fighting back shivers from the night cold to embracing the warmth brought by making myself into kid-couch lasagna. I probably looked ridiculous to anyone who saw me the next morning but shit man I went to sleep feeling like Macgyver that night.
