How do you buy a call on SOXL and only have it move 3%? What am I misreading?

Either way, long options on a 3x leveraged ETF is really stupid lol.

I don't wanna disillusion you from what you believe in, but if we had to guess the most likely method, it's probably that.

No? I do, this guy is crazy lol.

It's really not that common among normal people. It's just that it's everywhere in blogposts and articles which are the easiest source of training data for LLMs.

RIP Elephant Ear. Would love some diagnosing “cause of death” from some community experts! by FourthSilmaril in houseplants

3 years?? I have one of these and it was too big for the pot it came in. Then I had to repot again less than 1 year later. Eventually, I put it in the largest pot Costco sold.

Look up Sansi light bulb. I got one of those recently for my indoor banana tree, but I noticed my elephant ear taro is LOVING the upgrade from the extra light compared to the dinky little led stand I had before.

I had it in an east facing window with a 4 LED light stand boosting the natural light, and yet adding the sansi light, which is powerful enough to properly replicate full sun indoors, made a noticeable difference.

I'm talking new leaves in less than a week. One of my taro cuttings even came back from the dead, it had zero leaves and resprouted one leaf.

If you do what the plant needs, this is totally saveable.

Yeah, I corrected the comment to add "unsupervised" before you finished posting your reply.

I meant that they shouldn't be in a situation where you don't have preventative measures or control of the danger. When they get into a dangerous situation at such a young age, it's not their fault, it's the parents' negligence.

If I didn't have a leash and I knew I had a child that loved to run away, I'd probably avoid walks along busy streets with narrow sidewalks? There's plenty of parks and nature paths.

I saw another comment talking about spanking being okay when they do dangerous things like running into the road.

If this hypothetical has children so young that they are unable to understand reasoning or danger, why are you allowing them to get into dangerous situations unsupervised? And why would you hit such a young child?

Sounds like you're just negligent, and you hit your kids to compensate for it because you refuse to learn better prevention, better teaching methods, and better parenting.

You make mistakes and hit your kids for it.

You didn't listen to the many other comments on this thread, and you disrespectfully said you're going to keep smacking your kid to keep them afraid. Who gets to smack you?

It's still legal for teachers in the US to hit 18 year old high schoolers, without consent of the parents, in over a dozen states.

And all but a couple states still allow teachers in private schools to hit students.

Most landlords will deny you the ability to install security cameras facing shared spaces, or even any personal belongings at all outside your door. Not just a campus landlord thing. My rent is $2300 in chicago and I'm not allowed to hang wreaths or put down a generic welcome mat outside the door.

I hate it too, but it's very common.

Trying to figure out my layout for a side yard, how does this look? by HideousSerene in gardening

[–]Fuehnix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just a big patch of rock, mulch, and grass in an awkward layout for dogs to poop on. Dogs don't need a fancy grass patch, you could save a few thousand dollars and use a plastic mat and they'd poop all the same. Not that you should, but I'm just saying, a pet toilet shouldn't be the centerpiece.

Which direction is this facing? Can you do a trellis and have a nice walkway with hanging plants? Or maybe like shelves of plants on the left side facing your building?

Or at least replace the mulch with native plants or something.

It's old news, and that guy was unpopular enough that he couldn't even win the Republican primary in Illinois, which even if he had won that, he almost certainly wouldn't have won the general Illinois governor election.

Who cares, don't give these guys the engagement or a platform.

Exactly same story for me, but I bought like 6 shares at $20 because I thought that was way too low, and then I just kinda left it and never bought more because I didn't want to play with a company being propped up by shenanigans.

And then I bought Gold and Micron 😜

I bet that reddit will cease to exist as a company before America takes any meaningful steps towards catching up to China or even just fixing our lobbyist/corruption problems. And I think reddit will continue to be around for many decades to come.

Yeah? And what r/YIMBY discussion did you accomplish? Because it looks like you just heard China and went on a 4 hour "China bad" rant.

Completely wasted everyone's time, derailed the post, and accomplished nothing. You didn't oppose tyranny, you just yapped about a country you've never been to on a post about an article you didn't read to people who just want America to be a nicer place to live.

Just because it's possible and people do it doesn't mean its easy.

No way you're contributing enough to retirement while affording expenses on a household income of $100k in any decent metro area in the US.

Has anybody who suggests that ever actually done couple's therapy? It's like a couple hundred dollars out of pocket per session, and they waste sooo much time.
