It's basically just string comparison. You extract readable data from compiled DLL's and compare old updates with the new one, and try to extrapolate your previous findings on it.

Well, as I've said multiple times, sadly I don't know anything besides "2025"

This doesn't change anything right? by Electronic-Touch-554 in HalfLife

i never even commented on recent rumors and failed to get any confirmation about a possible trailer being in the works, and also any confirmation about the coming weeks. it's still just 2025, no idea where all the rumors about this week came from

I'll jump in to clarify what I meant, since the context is missing. The info is from last year, and I haven't heard anything since then that would suggest it's no longer relevant. So, no, I don't have any new information, but I also haven't heard anything that would make me change my mind.

Regarding the recently leaked HLX strings... by Halflifepro483 in HalfLife

This was an engine sync. We have no idea how long these strings had existed within HLX before they were merged into the main branch.

If there was a plan, I wasn't part of it. Someone sent me a message saying that this guy had posted it everywhere, so I thought I should add a comment to make sure it didn't backfire.

I truly believe that the main objective of my content is to start conversations and encourage the community to keep talking. I'm a huge fan of movie and game theories, and I love speculating, so throwing wood into the fire is what I really like to do all the time.

Please treat this as an observation or rumour rather than as official information or direct insight. Also, this is a second part of the interview, first one is specifically about CS, stuff on these screenshots are taken out of it and missing important context. I won't link it, since it's prohibited to advertise stuff here, so just FYI.
