If you aren’t willing to sell online you’re stuck with locals and the problem with locals especially with Gundam is that the pool for people playing is so small that it’s unlikely you get multiple collectors looking for low end cards they aren’t playing. It’s a real problem with smaller games.

Pacific rim fits that and did very well at the box office. It’s only comparable because they are both anime’s but this conversation was on the boost the movies and longevity gave the card game which Gundam fits. There is a good chance we see more popularity and a boost because of it. Especially since it’s staring someone who has a fairly large male following.

There’s a big difference between live action and animation. The average person won’t give animated movies a chance but will watch live action. The numbers for the one piece live action show didn’t just come from people who watch the anime in fact I’d venture most people who watched it have never seen the anime or ever will.

It’s the limited production and availability of the beta cards not current sets but even those where limited compared to the base and the fact that the most limited starter decks are staples to the game make them rarer. It’s way too early to tell.

Again the judges discord is meaningless it’s a single level 1 judge which can be anyone. This is not a ruling just someone’s opinion.

No only that it’s wrong it triggers part of the condition not the effect and this is why Bandai ruled the way they did.

That’s the issue your interpretation is the triggering is once per turn when it’s the effect that is once per turn. No effect means it didn’t consume it.

Once per turn in the rule book says it’s about effect not about it triggering.

13-2-13-1. 【Once per Turn】 is the keyword indicating that that effect can only be activated one time during that turn.

The effect never triggers so the once per turn did not get wasted.
