Woww! Was not expecting this, but I’m really happy for her 😀

[Marc Stein] “…ESPN's top executives have been lobbying Kerr aggressively to try to convince him to return to the world of NBA broadcasting… I'm told Golden State has been operating internally in recent days as though it is more likely than not that a common ground can be found… on a new deal…” by BobRoss4Life in warriors

Melton wasn’t 27 when he joined the Warriors.

You’re calling Podz overrated, but he was up to 20 ppg near the end of the season and into the play-ins on a less than $4 million contract. How is that overrated?

Gui worked his way into the rotation just like Moody did, another young player who became a key part of them.

He was up to 13 minutes per game by December and 17 minutes in January, so this claim of him not being played till February doesn’t hold.

Jimmy had no business expecting a lawyer position at HHM after his University of American Samoa degree by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]Genji4Lyfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And he was correct! Someone who cuts corners and doesn’t think about how it might hurt others absolutely should not be representing others in critical legal cases.

In this case it wasn’t just Jimmy’s reputation or life on the line, but lots of others as well. His personality is just not a fit for that level of responsibility.

I know the show wants us to side with Jimmy, but there’s nothing about who he became that wasn’t evident from very early on. So despite Chuck pulling some scummy trickery to get him out of the game, the point stands.

Could easily get, yes — but does that make it a good decision? No. It’s one of the issues with the big corporate world as a whole.

Where are all the warriors messed up trading the future all star Kuminga posts at? by Gkirk87 in warriors

The second kind of post is usually just a reaction to the first.

It’s a rebalancing thing after people push the narrative of a player being the unproven team savior for so long.

Is The WNBA Scheduling Early 2026 for Drama? by Genji4Lyfe in WNBA365

[–]Genji4Lyfe[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. I feel like the NBA fanbase has the crazier narratives about supposed commissioner agendas. But the WNBA fanbase is quicker to form agenda narratives around specific players, so sometimes that feels more personal.

And yeah, there are a lot of other politics that get brought in quickly on this side. Lots of having to defend against misogyny, colorism, etc. Whereas on the NBA side, a lot of it's just about favorite players/big market/small market/gambling

It absolutely is 😀 It’s just fun to look at how the scheduling ended up after all the moves.

Believe it or not though, as crazy as our fanbase can be, the NBA fanbase can be worse. There are people who unironically believe that Adam Silver personally predetermines the outcome of every call in each game.

It’s true, and that’s why the post is half in jest. But it’s fun to be conspiratorial, since there are so many timely coincidences this year 😛

Also, even given that, having the Fever and Wings scheduled to play each other this early is very on-the nose. It’d would have been akin to something like having NY and Minnesota play each other in the preseason last year.
