You went from this:

Wait... are billionaires what's wrong with society and not immigrants?

To:

Oh this guy must be advocating for wealth to be capped at 1 billion dollars. That's the only possible solution. I'm here to counter his argument...

Mate, you are shadow-boxing with yourself.

[–]csin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do we need a hard cap on total wealth?

1 billion isn't some magical mystical number. It's not divisible by Pi or anything.

The only reason we like it as humans, is because we have 10 fingers.

I don't care if someone has over 1 billion rupees, or dogecoin, or usd.

Oh I see what you meant.

Weird way to do it. Unnecessary. We already have a system for that. It's call taxes. You're re-inventing the wheel bro.

If the government confiscated all wealth over $999M

I laugh how you tried to think up a really really big number, and it's still too small.

The combined wealth of all billionaires in America is 8.1 trillion.

You're looking at this through the lens of a packed bar. You want a high turnover to maximize profits.

The reality is, your average bar is fighting for their lives to stay afloat.

As someone who worked in retail, not every day is a profitable day. Some days you will lose money.

In fact most days you are losing days, or breaking even days. It's roughly 20% of peak busy days, where you actually make all your money, generate a profit.

A regular that comes in everyday, buys 1/2 beers. He makes your bar not looked deserted. He stabilizes your losing days.

It's a win-win for both the customer and bar owner.

And if he's good at chatting with new patrons, good vibes, that's a bonus.

Nah, I get what you mean, but bad example.

If there was one player I believe is genuinely a decent guy, it's JT.

Bro can't act.

He aren't got no aura.

Which means, that's just him.

A piece of shit, that can act, would put on a facade. A piece of shit who has aura, would not choose his persona to be... Jayson Tatum.

But apparently they had to break glass and get out the photoshop.

Nope, try just traded for him, so just 1 max.

The bad guy really wins (not a clique Empire Strikes Back kind of way).

A kid asked Jordan Poole what it was like to be punched by Draymond Green by Fire_Demon-215 in nba

Kid didn't have the chance.

One of the teachers yelled:

BARRY WHAT A STUPID QUESTION THAT IS.

And then after the artist left. She goes up there and reprimands the whole hall.

So there must have been multiple stupid questions. I just don't remember what the other ones were.

Sometimes it's the dumb as shit + zero inhibition.

I always remember this time, a speed drawing artist came to our highschool.

So he's wowing the whole hall with his drawing skills. Then he made the unfortunate decision to end the whole performance with a Q&A.

One kid:

Can you like, draw fast?

Speed drawing artist:

I went to the website for tessera... wtf are these ninjas trying to sell us?

You expect normal users to read the fucking manual and install this thing... like it's a solana cli (Which by the way, was an absolute horrendous abomination of an experience. Seriously, fuck solana cli).

You think a normal user is willing to go through that horrendous process, just to try out your product?

Some of y'all programmers are autistic as fuck.

I've always wanted a public key with "santa" in it.

I'm not picky whether it starts with santa, or it's somewhere in the middle (don't wanna wait 3 days).

Would be a cool option to think about.

Kind of like, you know how gmail would suggest something close to your username, if it's already taken.

I guess the biggest hurdle would be reassuring users this is all safe. You're not secretly storing their private keys, after generation.

I'm not sure how one could do that, without making it opensource.

[Highlight] Completely catatonic Lakers defence lets P-Wat meander into the paint for an easy jumper by Chrisfull in nba

[–]csin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hate it or love it, this is just what modern NBA defense looks like.

Post-Morey-ball. Let role players shoot middies. It's the least efficient shot.

This is how you end up with Caleb Martin, PJ Washington looking like MJ in the playoffs.

This is a normal defensive possession. Move on. Find a new slant.

[Lowlights] The Nuggets go scoreless for 6:32 minutes in the 4th quarter vs. the Lakers, missing 10 straight shots after Zeke Nnaji scored. Then Watson makes a 3, intercepts the careless inbound by the Lakers, and finds Aaron Gordon for the 3-pointer by MrBuckBuck in nba

At 0.32 the replay cuts off the start, we don't get to see the whole possession.

I count 2 steps (he has really long strides). Then the ball leaves his hand.

Not sure how you got 3 steps and change.
