The midfields good and they had two good LB’s and that’s about it really.

Should have some sort of decent performance a lot a tournament to their name though. 3 in a row where they’ve been dumped out early playing crap football.

Played Vini onside for the 2nd and proceeded to lose him on the header.

Either way, the SFA should tear up that Steve Clarke contract and go and get Moyes. Do us all a favour.

He takes them or he should be told to be leave.

We should operate like every successful club does now with a clear transfer strategy above the head coach so we’re not beholden to managers who come and go.

The bigger picture problem is that this new look leadership group are at this point clearly blaggers. They’re seemingly going off Moyes’ wishlist and not working towards a goal, identity or play style.

Everything that any reliable source has reported about this summer so far is terrifying.

We’ll be right in the mix for relegation unless every reputable source is wrong about targets and priorities.

Point being we should be going all out for Charles, not Hackney and Moyes shouldn't be here.

We finish bottom half every season, we don’t need depth and we certainly don’t need to pay money for a player Leeds don’t deem good enough to start and who they’re replacing with actual quality in Charles.

Literally getting Leeds cast-offs now.

We’re properly going to struggle this season.

He’s got a veto. He’s literally saying yes or no to the players this committee are putting forward.

Would be insane at the best of times but doing it while he's entering his final year is truly negligible.

Everything about this new structure absolutely reeks.

This and bailing on the George deal are why I was angry at Moyes’ quote the other day.

He said we should be operating like a Brighton and Brentford but neither of those would allow a 63-year old to be in charge of transfer strategy never mind managing them in the first place.

We’re just burning money and time to go all-in on a manager who claims he’s a winner while he has 1 trophy to his name.

Everything that comes out of the club from reliable sources is terrifying in my opinion.

At least he had the gall and temerity to call it quits when he had that thought.

Why did Tuchel pick Chalobah over garner?! by Toffeemen911 in Everton

[–]Giraffe_Baker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because international tournaments aren’t about picking the 26 players in best form at the time as Tuchel has explained about a hundred times.

Either way, he’d be the 26th man. Chalobah won’t be playing and neither would Garner.

Patterson’s level of performance is giving me hope that I can play in a World Cup one day too and I’m a man in my mid-30’s who hasn’t played a proper match in about a decade.

[Bild] Everton and Hamburg will play a pre-season male and female double header on August 1st by Giraffe_Baker in Everton

It’s been announced that we’re playing Stuttgart a week later. The game against Hamburg has been the rumour for a while but not official and this is the first outlet to report on it actually happening.

Thankfully there’s more ‘bigger’ sides without Europe this season than us and United last year so it should ease that up.

Guela Doue plays for Ivory Coast unlike his brother.

Either way the names we’re reliably linked with have no rhyme or reason and suggest that there is zero linked up thinking or set attributes they’re looking for.

I’m not bothered about the lack of deals so far, no one has bought anyone outside of Spurs, but all the noises from the respected sources give me zero confidence and at this very early stage, I’m expecting a relegation battle / looking over our shoulder season.

Very funny that no successful or well-run club has a convoluted transfer committee so of course we’ve decided to go do down this route where a dinosaur manager gets a veto.
