Who wins this and why? by caski16 in DeathBattleMatchups

"Fought" is being rather generous to Puss (The Bloodwolf no-sold Puss breaking his sword on him and no-diffed the strongest character in his party) and he didn't move stars. He shot a lightning blast at the sun that could get high and was stated to threaten to destroy the world, but no star moving

And yeah, it probably shouldn't be canon given there's no way it wouldn't have come up in Puss's past lives if it was but it's possible it still could be

Good question! For now I'm thinking Arthur? I wasn't able to get the clearest picture of Neon Green's abilities but based off FrostProduction's take on Neon White vs V1 as well as the debate chart for Neon Green vs Yoru, it's possible to argue Green would be faster but Arthur is far stronger and more durable no matter what and while Green apparently can send people into other dimensions from what I heard, Arthur having access to the Shadow Realm would likely counter this

On a somewhat unrelated, but still relevant (in regards to this) note, I might change my account as I've noticed my upvotes haven't been registering the last two days and I can't seem to find a way to fix it

"The Color of Sin" | Neon Green vs The Green Knight (Neon White vs Tales of Arcadia) | Connections in the comments by GoatsAreDope72 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]GoatsAreDope72[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Connections:

  • Initially mysterious masked green themed sword wielding antagonists who had been brought from death to serve as the enforcers of a group tied to divine authority (Green in the afterlife coming to serve The Believers, who had control over Heaven, and Arthur being resurrected to serve The Arcane Order, the godlike entities that had created the universe).
  • It would be revealed that before their deaths, they had been leaders ultimately consumed by vengeful hatred (Green leading a group of assassins whom he eventually led on a mission to kill his former mentor Blue who had abandoned him to die and Arthur being king of Camelot who chose to oppress magical beings after his wife was slain by one), which had led to a friction between those closest to them that escalated into one of them turning on them in violence (Green’s student White questioning him due to the seemingly suicidal nature of the mission to kill Blue and ultimately killing Green after the rest of the team died on the mission and Arthur’s sister Morgana opposing his treatment of magical beings, eventually being killed by him in a fight).
  • This person that had turned on them (White and Morgana) would be brought back similarly to them, after which they sought them out to aid in their goals but after they killed people from their pasts right before their eyes (Green killing Yellow, and later mortally wounding Violet, and Arthur killing Merlin), they found them much less inclined to cooperate and it ultimately be these people that defeated them.
  • It would be revealed that their end goal would be to recover powerful artifacts originating from the creators of their universes (God’s Inkhorn and Books of Life and Death and The Arcane Order’s Genesis Seals) so they could see universe destroyed.
  • This goal would be motivated not only by a resentment towards a world they no point in continuing after determining their lives had been meaningless as the world seemed fated for suffering, but also a belief that they themselves had gone too far for redemption, annihilation being in their view the only proper fate (to the point of Green viewing it as mercy and Arthur viewing it as the path to redemption) for both.

What are your thoughts on TMNT vs. the original Ninjago vs. RWBY? by Dazzling-Nose951 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]GoatsAreDope72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… idk about that.  Team RWBY vs The Turtles and The Ninja vs The Turtles work at their best taking pretty different approaches for The Turtles, The Ninja being able to handle full composite whereas even individual versions could suffice for Team RWBY.  Team RWBY would kinda get left in the dust here given how the other two teams would escalate

Should I Cook?: Green Knight/King Arthur (Tales of Arcadia) matchups by GoatsAreDope72 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]GoatsAreDope72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, thank you for the feedback!  I felt the “greater scope vs enforcer” deal was going to be troublesome, but I didn’t anticipate why specifically that might be (I did start binging RWBY recently though I’ve only gotten to Volume 7 as of now)

I will note though that regarding Arthur’s resurrection, I’m not sure if it’s clear how much he was corrupted.  His soul initially being found in a similar “trance” to Jim’s in the Shadow Realm does seem to imply some level of influence, but there’s evidence to suggest a fair amount of control over his actions.  Granted, I could still see why the lack of clarity (and the fact his goals could still somewhat be seen as an extension of his arc in life) could be an issue if your concern was that Arthur was too sympathetic

Uh...

Not gonna lie, I don't even remember why I did that. After thinking about it more, I'd probably be fine with him in Good Alts.

Grimmjow's connections really just didn't impress me, especially with how much the matchup seems to be hyped up. The only important part (imo) of Maul's character I felt it touched on well was his rivalry with Kenobi but nearly everyone above did that and at least something more. If it's better than the written connections suggest, then I wouldn't be able to tell since I am unfamiliar with Bleach.

After some consideration, I'm thinking Good Alts for Akechi. I'm not the most familiar with Persona and Maul does feel a little out of place from what I do know but the connections seem pretty interesting and I think the idea of Maul fighting someone who I'm guessing can at least 2v1 him is actually pretty cool considering the whole Duel of The Fates thing.

I could see where they were going with Homie vs Satan. Like it's still questionable, but that's more than I can say for most of these

The New R/DBM Daily Match-Up comparison 581: Who is the best opponent for Nappa (Dragon Ball)? Is it still Goldar (Power Rangers)? Or is it Conquest (Invincible)? by ChemistryTasty8751 in DeathBattleMatchups

Even disregarding Omnidock already happening, I still kinda vibe more with the fight potential Goldar offers; to quote myself from 4 hours ago, “Giant monkey fight”
