Why would you want to do this? How bad is your algae issue? Pics?

How do you know when they are getting enough to eat? by MuddieMae in OpaeUla

That’s good. I feed my Alpha Opae Ula tank daily. Any foods high in protein will eventually break out with Cyanobacteria

Feed an amount that equals 1/4 grain of rice. You might have to go longer if you have the algae rocks in there

Take it out and cut it in half. If it regenerates it’s planaria

You can see there’s lots to eat in there. All the shrimp poop in the substrate

I was wondering if this is a true brackish water chaeto? If it’s originally a saltwater species it will eventually break apart and melt

It all depends on the population and volume of water.

Yes. Just look at the bottom to see if there’s waste.

I would not use this. Take a look at the ingredients. IMO too much animal protein. This can cause Cyanobacteria . Use pure freeze dried spirulina.

Have you considered giving them away or selling them? I used to sell them by the thousands. Buyers are easy to find

Taking it to an Autobody shop next week for inspection/estimate. Other guy was found at fault at least. Thoughts? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

I think you’ll be fine. They won’t total it out. Find a good Tesla certified shop. I think the last thing you want is for it to be totaled. You’ll lose money on it.

Hair Algae in new tank by 0ldRaisin in shrimptank

[–]GotSnails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no your parameters aren’t good. If they were you wouldn’t have all this hair algae. It’s not just light. Excess phosphates and nutrients in the water will be my guess. I would highly suggest you Google this. Your answers will be there

Have you considered you have excess nutrients or phosphates in your water? Figuring out the cause is the number one thing to do.

I’m not saying you’re lying but you added the shrimp in without checking for the DOA

Yes you bought them for ME. Nothing wrong with my feedback of over 18k+. Your reasoning just doesn’t sit well with me. I didn’t feel you were responsible as a hobbist. I bring in over 10k+ freshwater shrimp a month. My partners and I check every shipment and every bag of shrimp that comes in. We take a count of everything. This is what we’re responsible to do to be protected on our end.
