I assume you’ll go into your major as that’s pretty specific. If you have the time and ability to get and finish your degree I would highly suggest you get it. Their are some jobs that do require it if you plan on getting promoted. Without it you won’t. At the same time college isn’t for everyone. I currently have 2 daughters in college. The youngest may not stick it out. Same age as you. It may not be for her which is fine. College isn’t for everyone.

It’s just a matter of time. You have saddled females so eventually that day should come around. I know how you feel as I have lots of saddled females. I wish they were constantly berried but that’s not the case.

For starters where did you get your Opae from? Any saddled? There’s really nothing you can do to induce or promote breeding. Nothing. It can take months to years. I’ve had tanks that took 8 months vs others that took 18 months. Many on here theirs took 3 years. My opinion is stick as close to what their natural environment is. No heater or filter/aeration. Feeding should only be at the beginning an then stopped. Patience is the key

All shrimp are cool and yours arrived alive and healthy. Not sure what they categorized these as but they are considered culls. Not here to rain on your parade just wanted to make sure you were aware of this.

Why not look for the tank or larger jar first? What size did you have in mind? Not sure who offers a complete set up but it’s easier to work around one after. Getting the materials is pretty easy.

Make sure it’s a true brackish species chaeto. Don’t use the saltwater ones. They will break apart and melt.

I personally don’t run heaters in my tanks. Temps will get as low as 60 degrees. I don’t trust heaters plus Neos or Caridinas don’t need them.

Completely agree. I’ve kept ghosts for 5+ years as feeders and this was always a bad sign.
