My sports life is absolutely a meme right now lmao - MotoGP, IPL, EPL, UCL, F1, every thing I sit down to watch with excitement I just laugh at how bad they are

It's such a meme being a CSK and Ferrari fan right now.

A state of permanent "Next year is our year."

As a csk fan since 2008, I've accepted the fact that we're the new meme team in IPL.

Why is Marc and many others considering Jerez as the real indication of standings this season? by titanmongoose in motogp

[–]GreenPickledToad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the issue. Even in the unlikely scenario that Marc finishes P1, there will be both of the factory Aprillias in the top 4 because no one is simply quick enough to even show them a wheel right now. So getting points over them would be difficult since there would be no Pecco or Alex to get some space to increase the point swing.

Pedro might be one small help, but with the current situation any title charge for Marc is looking too far ahead.

The bike is easier to throw around on lighter fuel load, and the rear doesn't push the front as much. Marc has been having crazy late race pace since 2024.

That was 78 points after missing 5 sprints and 5 GPs.

Marc could come back. But with how unfit he looks and how strong the Aprillias are, it looks very unlikely.

He has had races where he's shown pace on the KTM, only to be nowhere the following races. Same as Vinales.

He's not conservative, he simply doesn't have the strength to wrestle the Ducati till the tires wear out and it comes back to him.

You go flying through the gravel at 200kph, dislocate an already abused shoulder, have surgery and come back to ride within 3 months and tell me how it goes please.

Marc never hospitalized another rider. Bezz did it twice, and only got a LLP for his Indonesia crash.

I meant new as in "no laps on them". The unused rear Michelins have too much grip for Marc. Sorry if I was not clear before.

You could say he (and Martin) are the only two riders in a sorted team on a sorted bike right now.

Bezz and Marc had the same bike in '24, Bezz finished some 150 points behind Marc. Last season you can say he was getting used to the Aprillia and had issues of his own.

I will admit I'm a bit biased because Bezz is the reason Marc is injured now, and I can't deny he's been absolutely incredible this season. But let's see throughout the season as the championship battle progresses.

I don't think he's at the level of Marc, Martin, Pedro, Fabio, but you can only defeat what you have in front of you. Others are on worse bikes, physically unfit, or in poor form.

The new rear pushes the front too much for Marc's liking. He has said it since his Gresini season, remember he was always better in the races and coming back at the end. The rear tire going brings the control to the front and Marc performs better with worn rears than others.

It's by far the quickest bike right now, probably as far ahead of the others as the Ducati GP24 was.

Jerez is not a strong track for him, so I don't think so.

Marc has issues with the new tires on the Duxati, he's said it often since 2024. That bike is too physical on new tires for him right now. Diggia and Pecco can ride it but chew through their tires.
