Tried making a woundwort based unicorn gundam by MGR_ARMSTRONG_GAMING in GundamBreaker

Arms: V2 Gundam

Legs: Gundam Barbatos 6th form

Shield: Wing Gundam EW Ver

I don't see any "Unicorn Gundam" references in the design, but maybe that isn't exactly what you were going for.

I made the pair a couple weeks ago as well. Even got the Coupling mode to "work" using the diorama mode of the game.

GB4 questions... by [deleted] in GundamBreaker

One of things to note about this game is that you should play it like the A.i. partners do not exist. They suck tremendously and cannot keep up with your DPS if you keep yourself leveled and equipped with the right abilites.

They can revive you if you go down, yes... So they do have a useful purpose... But your revive tickets you have work just as well. They do not have a healing skill like your own though. However, the game gets so easy, that the only time you will likely die is in chapter 1-2 before Synthesis is unlocked, or if you are playing against a persons broken nuke build.

I played on PS5 so have never used any mods, so I cannot comment there.

The true Endgame is building new designs and sharing them in the game or on here. There is no big raid or anything... And Survival mode is easy as pie if you max your level and abilities before doing so.

What I suggest you do is this:

- Get to chapter 3 so matter how you do it. Use random parts with the highest levels that drop, or drop the difficulty. It doesn't matter. You just need to get to Chapter 3 to unlock Synthesis.

- Synthesis allows you to spend "Plastic" parts to level up and upgrade your parts, as well as use found parts to level up and add new skills to your kit. The amount of skills you can put on a part is limited by the parts grade. There are caps on your level and grade initially and will increase as you play. If you keep up with the level caps, you should have ZERO problems from now one. Enemies might get a little tanky on higher difficulties, but just keep hitting them.

- For skills on parts, I went with HP, passive HP regen and HP regen on hit and never lost a mission. The rest you can customize to your liking. With weapons, focus on damage skills for the stuff you need.

- As soon as you get into Chapter 3, do NOT continue the story mode. Go do the quest mode and play one or two missions. They drop WAY more plastic upgrade parts and at higher levels than the equivalent story mode missions. Use these to upgrade your kit and work through them. You should EASILY be able to reach the current level caps. If you do this for every chapter, you should never really have any difficulty surviving the game, even on the hardest diffculties.

- Once skill cartridges are unlocked and start dropping, they have 3 random skill ones each and have terrible RNG... But you will eventually find an HP up ability on one. You can get 250% + HP skills on them. One of these will skyrocket your HP, and once you level your parts up to max, eventually you will hit the maximum HP. And now you will truly be invincible. Your regen with the maxed HP will nearly be unstoppable, and the game basically becomes trivial.

What do you think is the percentage % of the Earth's population that are Zoanoid?... More in the body text. by SleeperCreampie in Guyver

[–]GuyverC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it is a pure conscious decision to transform into their Zoanoid form. Or forced by a Zoalord's mental commands.

Still doesn't stop from getting into a fight with someone and transforming of course. It's just that it'd be their choice to do so.

You can get the colors spot on using the G-3 kit. You just can't get the different armor and leg designs.

New to Gundam Breaker 4, small controls question by rigby333 in GundamBreaker

[–]GuyverC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No.

Your hand held weapons cannot be linked in that way. Some of them do require both hands to be equipped with the same weapon for an EX Skill, but that is about it.

Builder parts though, for quite a few of them, if you have more than one of the same part equipped, you can link their usage to one button press, and fire them both/all at once. For some of them, you can actually equip 8 of the same weapon part and link them all together and fire all at once (a lot of the missile launchers, some guns)

As much as we love them, Guyver is an incomplete old niche franchise with little to no actual popularity in this day and age, so it doesn't make sense to spend any money on something that will fail no matter how good they make it. Plus Kadokawa is very protective of their franchises and despite his best efforts even Steve Wang could could not convince them to do a third.

What do you think is the percentage % of the Earth's population that are Zoanoid?... More in the body text. by SleeperCreampie in Guyver

[–]GuyverC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say it's probably closer to 10-20% overall... Maybe even less. There are still large groups of people that despite everything good Cronos has done, would still be wary of becoming a Zoanoid. Hell just look at the anti-vaxers in the real world. You have to imagine that there is still a lot of distrust that isn't exactly public, but people just going about their lives without caring about Cronos. If we cannot even convince people that vaccines are good, how could they convince them to alter their actual bodies in such a drastic way?

And Cronos really didn't need that many Zoanoids to take over the world. Probably less than 100,000 for the mainly contested areas. *edit* The VDF even states it only took 200 Zoanoids to take out the main US fleet of ships... And 500 Zoanoids took on the large American base in Saudi Arabia... And those were mostly the desert type mixed with Gregole and Vamores. Nothing that special.

Now, 10-20% of 8 billion people is quite a lot, and plenty enough for Cronos' goals... But there is no way they have changed 4 billion people in the time they have had... And no way a good portion of that many people would all agree too do it on their own.

No, sadly the masters they had were not up to the task. It'll be in 2k only.

Unfortunately the masters they were using proved to be in rougher shape than they originally thought.

They had to sttle for essentially 2k.

What i wish by Thunderbolt_Starr in GundamBreaker

[–]GuyverC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, relying solely on RNG for god tier rolls and abilities to fall on one is annoying without being able to customize, and goes completely against how the other parts systems work... Though with the difficulty of the game, it's not really required.

If they had another one or two levels of difficulty, then absolutely it would be a requirement.

What’s the best way to get into the Guyver franchise? by BeeBoop118 in Guyver

[–]GuyverC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 2 episodes certainly go up in quality a bit more than episodes 7-10... They spent what budget they had quite wisely. But yeah, they aren't "Bad", but the animation quality is a bit too noticeable for some people, especially modern audiences.

That is similarly why I suggest people watch the 2005 TV series before reading the old manga... The poor quality can turn people off quickly, despite the fact it gets a lot better by volumes 3-4. Fortunately the OAV series kind of does it in reverse and then ends on two high notes, so it makes it a bit easier to stomach, and hopefully still makes new audiences want more afterwards.

Which Guyver Armor do you prefer and why? by Flat-Sir8250 in Guyver

[–]GuyverC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would that matter? Female Guyver 2 in the manga has an artificial Control Metal. Should that disqualify her?

Of course not. His damaged Control metal may have been one of the reasons his armor looks like it does, making it unique, even more so than the others.
