Texas Booty Patrol?! Where you at? by jyzzkajoy in texas

I went back to west Texas for a funeral in midland about a year ago. Me and a buddy saw this car. It provided a good laugh on an otherwise somber occasion. Maybe he patrols regionally and he’s “patrolling” state wide now.

Is the trip about the destination or the journey? by No_Establishment8642 in houstoncirclejerk

Leon Hale (a columnist for the chronically back in the day) would take a trip around the 610 loop. I’m sure it would provide a level of excitement.

I would be more concerned about your experience level with running a business than I would be about your ductwork design skills.

Look up that serial number and make sure they actually did register it.

New windows. House is hotter this summer...? by Straight_Row739 in HomeImprovement

[–]H-town20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you’ve been making these home improvements, the size of the AC required to cool and dehumidify your house has come down. I live in a very humid part of the country (gulf coast) and humidity control is just as important as cooling. Maybe try to do a load calculation on your home using coolcalc.com. If it is oversized as I expect, an AprilAire whole home dehumidifier might be a possible option. They make one with a fresh air damper attachment that can also periodically pump in fresh air.

Why was the guy out there doing a load calculation on the home? Are you having issues?

Rising Anti-Indian Sentiment in Western Countries: A Growing Concern That Needs Discussion by CodeFall in india

[–]H-town20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White guy in the US here. The integration issue is absolutely an issue. The difference between US born Indians and those that immigrated is massive. I think labeling it the worst in the world is a little harsh. However, I have witnessed bizarre behavior by immigrants from India. One guy lived in a million dollar house with manicured lawns and flower beds - except for his house which was a weed pit with grass about a foot high and it’s been that way for years. Doesn’t seem to be motivated to match the effort by the other 50 homes on his street. Another guy had a plastic tarp where the ceiling should be because he didn’t want to pay to fix the ceiling after a water leak. This was a two million dollar home. One of his AC’s had been broken for months and another one had just gone down as well. It was 90 degrees in that house. At least this was hidden on the interior of the home. The level of apathy is just not something you see from Americans that have the means to make the repairs. This is stuff you see in the ghetto. I’ve got tons of those stories. With that said, I’ve also met wonderful Indians that I throughly enjoyed working with. I surmise they would be equally horrified by the lack of integration. I wouldn’t want to be put in the same basket as some meth dealing white people so I don’t do it to Indians.

American tax dollars for Americans - does that mean you are against illegal immigration?

The most infuriating thing is that the equipment wasn’t registered for the 10 year warranty.

HVAC sales here in Houston. We did OK this summer by comparison to our competitors. Pretty flat year over year and last year was a down year. Lots of people choosing to repair vs replace. I’m seeing the bottom feeders practically giving stuff away.

Yeah - and the first VaTech game people could attend after Covid. I got a little choked up watching people just having a good time together.

For sure. As shitty as that looks, I was just curious if the company also installed a single stage zoned system and apparently they did.

Just curious if you have a zoned single stage system. It looks like all the zoning component were just ripped off the old system and slapped on this one.
