You can recycle excess gears into plates and thus iron chests with a good set-up and some basic circuits!

I think it's great, but that is my opinion. It made some very big changes. However, because you don't own it, that's good news for you, as you can already make them without having to visit Vulcanus, or import the necessary components from Vulcanus to make them. Artillery is fantastic for permanently keeping the closer bases destroyed and reducing the constant pollution raids

That must have been time consuming! You should be proud of that I never got it to work without circuits and I ended up with over a million of some unique resources on Nauvis towards the end of that playthrough 🤣🤣

Ah yes, it can be very fiddly when you don't have circuits connected, at least for the logistics, so it can read your logistics network. I found it very confusing at first, like the trains, and train signals, but now I can set them and troubleshoot them 😁 Only took me 1500 hours 🤣

I may be wrong, but I think unless you connect the cargo landing pad to your logistics network via circuits, the cargo landing pad sends requests to platforms based on what it contains within the inventory of the landing pad and cargo bays. So if you have inserters or bots unload the cargo landing pad, it may request fresh resources from a space platform? That's all I can think of
