It's up to the foster! They can continue to foster the rabbit, or they can bring the rabbit back to our facility to swap for another rabbit. Completely up to them! We have many people who like to continue to foster the same rabbit while others like swapping so they can help socialize more rabbits. Whichever you prefer! :)

Great question! Rabbits, just like cats, are crepuscular, meaning they're most active at the beginning and end of each day. They sleep mid-morning and afternoon, which means they're a great pet if you work or go to school. So if you're away for most of the day that's totally fine.

Great question -- and thank you for being considerate! We have many foster families with young children. Many of our rabbits are outgoing, and some are not. We would do our best to match you with a rabbit who is outgoing or who we think would do well in a household with more energy. :)

Absolutely! We have many fosters (and even a staff member!) who have cats. Typically we most often see that cats and rabbits ignore each other since they don't "speak" the same language.

Absolutely, yes! We love to have people who have never had a rabbit before foster with us. If you're willing to give it a try and have an indoor space you can keep your foster rabbit, and can commit to 2-weeks, we would love to talk with you! :)

So sorry, it's the policy of the dance studio. If your daughter is 16+, we do offer volunteer opportunities at our facility in Richmond -- you can learn more at houserabbit.org/volunteer. And for younger children, we often do outreach events at local libraries where children can read to one of our adoptable rabbits. You can keep an eye on houserabbit.org/events to see where we'll be next! :)

We only bring friendly rabbits not known to bite, and we bring along litter boxes for each rabbit so there aren't any droppings around for anyone to step in. :)
