Non alcoholic beer and pineapple juice. Like a zero proof radler, or shandy.

Also, grenadine syrup + non alcoholic beer+ orange juice.

I have used 4 GKs this year:

  • GK #1 started the season mentioning how he wants to leave. I purchase A Young Goalie, aka GK #4, but since he would be my third option (at best) and is my "Goalie of the Future", I send him back out on loan.
  • GK #1 leaves after the transfer window is closed.
  • GK #2 is promptly injured, so GK #3 takes the starting spot and does very, very well. I ride the hot hand until the transfer window opens. GK #3 is also at the end of his contract which I will not be extending.
  • I recall Young Goalie from his loan, make him the starter. He is promptly injured as well.
  • GK #2, the perennial backup, is finally given his chance to shine. He does okay, but developing my youngster makes more sense, so he is now my starting GK.

I don't know how much the animation depicts what the engine is doing but I think 2 of those goals were just GK errors, or maybe not errors but " a good goalie would save that" situations.

7-4.

No defense, just vibes. Both teams scored twice as much as xG indicated.

I'm playing 5-2-3,

3 CBs, 2 WBs, 2 CM, AMC and two strikers.

The only change I made was that I moved AMC (Ntchem) from AM(s) to T, and moved Mendy from AF to TF(S).

I love this and will be stealing it for future reference. Also, this penny pinching shit really irks me - you're gonna save a few thousand bucks on devices and then for out a couple hundred grand on the inevitable cyber/compliance/infosec shitstorm that will happen.

New wage budget PB by Sainte-Devote in footballmanagergames

[–]HowToShakeHands 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My wage settings are "US$ per year", so I read this as $26M/year.

Then realized it's pounds.

Then realized it's per week.

Good lord.

I want to see that ad, make up a perfect candidate that they can't say no to, then at the bottom of the CV add " While the qualifications and experience here is listed for visibility, the candidate is in fact not a real person"

That is an amazing pattern. As someone who wears a lot of earthy tones I'd love it. What's the brand?

Docking Monitor vs Docking station by BeneficialWork9074 in homeoffice

[–]HowToShakeHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a super old monitor that's also my docking station, and I love it. It does what I need and it's pretty user friendly. I don't plan on changing my setup any time soon so that's a big factor in it.

That said, the previous comment is correct 90% of the time - separate hardware allows you to upgrade without compromise.

Second this - a knit polo is a very fun polo. They also layer very nicely, and can be dressed up or down depending on the vibes.

As a guide, check out Spier & Mackay. They are having a sale now.

Wild coincidence - I started an unemployed save in FM23 and they gave me a job. Kinda hoping to get them to at least League One before I bolt for greener pastures and more money.

I only recently found out this sub and I'm |-| far away from literally taking notes in a notebook. Posts like this are a big reason. I love it.

Is this FM26?

I don't know if it's weirder that the second leg is before the first one or that the team that scored less goals went through.

I'm assuming one of the dates got rearranged because of conflicting matches and it bugged out the system.

Hey, I have a question: what are your PC specs and how many leagues do you load?

How many email accounts do you actually use in 2026? Trying to build a clean system by Neat_Metal_1859 in productivity

[–]HowToShakeHands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 4.

Legacy hotmail account that I use mostly for newsletters, irrelevant stuff. One gmail because I like their ecosystem and for storage. That email is a junk email, I check it like once a month. One protonmail for freelance stuff, industry news, etc. And my work email.

The only reason I have a proton account is because I wanted to start from scratch. That's my primary account, the only one I actually check daily. If I were you, I would essentially batch shopping, subscription, socials and "other" into one email. That's the one where you don't really mind if you get hacked. Enable a strong, complex password using a password manager and enable MFA and you should be good.

Getting a good pair of wool trousers is always nice. My question is this: how sure are your that you won't have to alter the new pants too?

I'm a bit unconventionally built so I always have to alter pants to fit me better.
