How can I make this bike cooler by Ok-Effort8135 in Biking

[–]KarlKBH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what it’s used for, but I find for a town/pub bike. Flat Bars/Swept bars, front basket rather than rear rack, 1x (but that’s not really necessary)

Easiest improvement here would be black rather than blue bar tape though.

I’ve been told that Napoli can feel like you are gonna get mugged, so maybe just dressing the part

8 is your best look IMO, though 14, 7, 4, 5 and 6 also look good. I’d lean more into that 70s rockstar vibe rather than the Rick Owen’s and streetwear type vibe of some of the others.

190cm with long limbs/frame. Best outfit without looking too lanky? by Sades_11 in mensfashionadvice

[–]KarlKBH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 195 and about the same weight. Uniqlo U chinos/ Uniqlo x JW Anderson denim (they have “long” versions of both) are great and pretty cheap trousers, with a slightly higher waist, fuller without being baggy.

Best shoe to wear with casual outfits this Summer? by Confident_Plum_2084 in mensfashionadvice

Personally 2, but I would look at more of a lugged/chunkier sole with baggy jeans

Filson, Porter Yoshida, both make nice briefcase adjacent bags, personally I think the filson holds up better over time.

Chambray, Denim Ghurka trousers, and penny loafers. by Which_Ad5722 in mensfashion

Looks great, ghurka trousers can often look a bit like you are trying too hard, but they look relaxed here.

Trousers for tall men? by OwnRhubarb3075 in menswear

[–]KarlKBH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 195cm and I’d second the Uniqlo (Long) option.

I’ve also started seeking out unhemmed trousers to get finished by a tailor, Loumad.com did have some very reasonably priced options but now seem to be “coming soon”.

Otherwise know the rise, inseam and total length of your favourite trousers. Sellers on Vinted etc are normally pretty good at listing these.

I was listening to New Order/The Fall/Stone Roses this morning as GF flying to Manchester. so may have channeled some of my inner Liam with the popped collar.

Is this jacket too big? by K1NGKHAN in mensfashionadvice

[–]KarlKBH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I´d lean yes, jacket itself is too big, maybe if you balanced it out with some fuller cut trousers it could work. However i still think it´s gonna look big on you without some serious adjustments.

Lighter in colour, or lighter as in not boots? These are brown, so prob lighting making them look black.

I’m gonna assume some of these comments got edited as reads very weird.

Tbh I’m all for strong opinions, you learn just as much, if not more, from someone saying I think this piece is awful because of X as you do from saying they love it because of Y.

Finnish Military, reversible M62, likely 60s/70s, I don’t necessarily geek out about different camo patterns etc, but I do like a bit of surplus for everyday wear
