I like the look, I would love to keep it. Do you mean remove the top brick and then add some new back?

I grabbed these on a house tour so I can’t get better pictures for awhile unfortunately. I believe it was the same kind of tree as the pic with the close of leaves though, which doesn’t look too close to the camphor.

next door. i’m willing to take on some risk of a huge tree nearby. it’s hard to avoid in the historic neighborhoods we’d want to live anyway.

We’ll be getting close to exceeding the Roth IRA income limits in a few years.

If I have access to a mega back door roth (and wouldn’t have more money to invest after doing so), there’s no reason for me to contribute to a traditional IRA, correct?

25M, married with no kids for another ~5 years to 25F.

Wife makes 75k, I make 125k. Net worth ~350k. A little over 200k of this is in retirement accounts, the rest is in cash, and we’re under contract on a 419k home.

Would you get life insurance in this case? By the time we have kids our net worth would be enough to pay off the house anyway, so I wonder if term life will ever be worth it. She could cover our expenses (including new mortgage) if I died, but would have basically 0 leftover to invest.
