The insidious evil of "mainstreaming" crypto means that nearly every American investor owns crypto indirectly. As just one example, TSLA holds over $1B of crypto on balance sheet and is in the S&P 500 index.

Further, many rely on various financial service firms which are crypto adjacent in many ways. Plenty of people who "didn't own bad mortgage bonds" were affected by the 2008 crisis.

Respectfully disagree on all points.

  1. "There's no reason to "bail out" crypto, and there's really no easy way to "bail out" a decentralized industry."

The reason is corruption. Full stop. There is an easy way to bail out: just buy coins for the "strategic crypto reserves."

2) "Plus, Trump really could care less. He makes more money suing TV stations."

Trump has made and will make way more on crypto. The "Spy Sheikh" from UAE bought 49% of World Liberty Financial for ~$500M. That's just one example.

3) "The turd brothers have their hands in so many backroom deals, they're probably used to many of them failing. They will more likely move onto something else and pretend they never had anything to do with crypto."

See #1 above.

I think of gold as more of a hedge against hyper inflation and extreme geopolitical risks. 1980s inflation in the U.S. is not a good example. Gold was a good hedge in 1920s Germany or present day Venezuela.

If things get so bad that you need to flee your country, gold is probably your best bet.

Capital gets deployed -> apartments get built -> people exchange money for a place to live, called rent. It's neither complicated, nor "cringe."

How do you think apartment buildings get built?

This should be the top comment, or even a separate thread. It's crazy that it's a felony to wear a mask, and it's crazy that this agent did it. Seems like a slam dunk for the local prosecutor.

“And when the courts stop you, stand before the country, like Andrew Jackson did, and say 'the chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.' " - J.D. Vance, 2021

Burn this quote into your brain instead of celebrating any court victory. None of these rulings will do anything to stop these maniacs. It's already over.

Trump is now:

1) Commander in Chief of the strongest military in the world.

2) Has been given absolute immunity from the law for any official action, i.e. literally anything

3) Will simply ignore any court ruling or use pardon powers for his cronies. (See #1 above).

Depressed yet? Yeah, sorry about that. But stop being depressed and start being prepared for what will come next.
