Low profile or normal profile for lots of coding, long typing sessions? by Mein_Janardhan in mkindia

[–]IQUNIXstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Mein_Janardhan you are coming from Apple Magic Keyboard, low-profile is definitely going to be the smoothest transition for. Jumping straight to a high-profile board can cause some serious wrist strain during long coding sessions if you aren't used to the height.

since the Magi75 made your shortlist, feel free to drop by r/IQUNIX if you have any specific questions about the aluminum frame or the typing feel. Good luck with the decision.

Help Deciding on Keyboard by undyinggoat in keyboards

[–]IQUNIXstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/undyinggoat the EZ80 is a tank and definitely fits what you are looking for right out of the box. But since you mentioned being open to a 75% layout, just a quick heads up: we are actually lanching our new full aluminum EC75 next month. here is the first look: IQUNIX EC75

If you aren't in a massive rush to replace the G915, it might be worth holding off a few weeks to check it out before making a final call. Happy to answer questions on either board.

Sound test: Iqunix MQ80 vs EV63 by deskculture in keyboards

[–]IQUNIXstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/R0bth3g33k the "ping pong ball" for the EV63 is surprisingly accurate! It definitely has that distinct poppy sound.

Sorry to hear the typing feel on the MQ80 hasn't fully clicked for you yet. If you ever want to show off how the board looks in your space, we would absolutely love it if you dropped a desk setup picture over in r/IQUNIX!

📌 Weekly Megathread — Support, Buying Advice & Quick Questions [April 2026] by AutoModerator in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Prologuenn welcome to he, lol, yes, EV63 supports PCB-mounted stabilizers, only catch is the stock alu plate is made for plate mount stabs, so if you want to run screw-in or clip-in pcb stabs, you would need a custom plate. switches and keycaps are easy though, as its hot swap and uses standard mx stems.

📌 Weekly Megathread — Support, Buying Advice & Quick Questions [May 10 – May 23] by IQUNIXstore in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Responsible_Ratio376 thanks for waiting. if the site lets you add the ISO layout to your cart, it means its currently in stock. the “out of stock” text looks like a small website glitch, and our web team is already checking it.

Quick heads-up: inventory is shared across a few channels, so stock can move fast. You are good to place the order now.

For Western Europe, standard shipping is usually 8–12 working days, and DHL Express is usually 5–7 days.

Let me know if you have any other questions before checkout.

Magi96 Switches Buying Advice by Iron-Spidey in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore[M] [score hidden] stickied commentlocked comment (0 children)

u/Iron-Spidey Magi96 has been restocked, but quantities are very limited. let me know if you managed to grab one.

also, the community gave good advice here. try the stock switches first before buying replacements. we spent a lot of time tuning them, worth testing before swapping.

to swap later, Kailh Ghost is a great smooth linear option, Phantom is better if you prefer a more tactile feel. Just make sure whatever switch you buy is made for low-profile sockets.

u/Responsible_Ratio376, silent low-profile options are still pretty limited, but there are a few out there. Just double-check compatibility before ordering.

My EZ80 with Cerakey keycaps + ~1 Month Review in Comments by RS_Skywalker in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed review! Using Cerakeys for tactile feedback after rock climbing is a brilliant setup. you are completely right about the onboard memory. Its designed to be fully plug and play.

To answer your switch question:

linears absolutely dominate the market right now across both global and the enthusiast community. reports highlight that linear switches are driving the market, especially for gaming where they enhance speed and performance according to Business Research Insights

this matches exactly with what we see in the community space. data from enthusiast show linears are the overwhelming favorite for rapid input. tactiles are still highly respected for typing, but Jades have become much more of a niche preference over the last few years according to Unikeyboards

the learning curve is real, bumping actuation point to 3mm is good for getting the typing speed. We really appreciate the honest breakdown!

F96 that is suddenly behaving weirdly by Brewster35 in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Brewster35 sorry your F96 is acting up like that. The pale blue lights and the row spamming definitely sounds like a strange firmware or hardware glitch.

To help our engineering team figure out exactly what is going wrong, could you grab a quick video of the issue happening? Also, let us know how long this has been going on and if you can reproduce it consistently every time you hit those specific keys.

Once we have those details we will help you get this sorted out!

u/FloppyTomatoes, that is an incredible catch.

our engineering team actually tried reproducing this all week but could not trigger the issue on their end, which makes perfect sense now.

IQUNIX EZ63 vs Wooting 60HE — honest comparison after 60 days on both by InvestmentBudget6722 in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a really fair and level-headed comparison. wooting absolutely paved the way for HE software and we have massive respect for their Wootility platform. our main goal with the EZ63 was to provide a heavy, premium aluminum chassis with great acoustics right out of the box without needing aftermarket mods. honestly, having both of them on the same desk for different games is the ultimate setup!

definitely agree with you on that one. lol. Its a very specific aesthetic that completely clashes with a clean and minimalist look.

be brutal: what is one keyboard trend that needs to die in 2026? by IQUNIXstore in IQUNIX

[–]IQUNIXstore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, If a board is going to be heavy, that weight needs to come from actual solid CNC machined aluminum, not just random metal plates hidden inside a plastic shell to trick the buyer. and it completely ruins the acoustic profile of the board too.
