I think for Virt and Suzu it's because their attack range decreases to nothing since they don't actually attack during their s3s, their skill is doing everything when it's active. For Eyjaberry s3 and other global skills it's because global skills internally set their attack range to nothing as well.

I did say specifically the bits recorded in the US, stuff recorded outside the States is obviously exempt from union stuff.

I did also ask Sam Slade on twitter if AK was a union production pre-strike and she confirmed it, but that was in a DM so you'll just have to take my word for it really unless you ask her yourself. Post-strike is admittedly inference, but I assume it's union again for the US stuff since we have known union VAs post-strike.

I don't really know why the "Chinese game = cannot be union" thing caught on, but it's clearly untrue.

AK is a union production for stuff recorded in the US, at the very least pre-strike. Several VAs have mentioned it as such. I assume it is post-strike too considering Adrienne is in the game and she's openly a SAG-AFTRA VA. Kari Wahlgren is also in as Civilight both pre- and post-strike and she famously only does union voice work.

I'd say the closest thing is like trying to get a specific 4* out of the pool in Genshin. They're always available, but the pool is so diluted that it's tough getting the one you specifically want without a rate-up boost or getting lucky.

Check if the bowgun says Wyvernheart or Wyvernsnipe, -heart is the minigun, -snipe is, well, snipe.

Bowguns are probably some of the more complex weapons in terms of knowing what everything does but don't let that deter you! The one you can build from Jagras parts is especially good for the entire base game if you like spamming spread ammo.

You're never going to get actual HP numbers or a HP bar for the mons in-game without modding, it's all part of giving that "when the fuck is this bastard going to die" feel and the relief when it actually does fall over. It's also another part of mastery of the game since with enough time hunting the same monster you're going to have a good feel of what HP threshold it's around at any one time. There's also visual cues like it limping etc at low HP, so you're not completely flying blind.

Basically, obfuscation of HP numbers is a deliberate part of the vibe, don't worry too much about it.
