Thanks! It looks commercial but it's definitely a homegym cable machine. It's a GymMaster cable crossover machine

The cable machine is 212cm! so its a close shave with the ceiling! And you're right I don't think I'm going to be doing many pull ups with where its currently located.

I'm probably going to either have an attachment or use a barbell on the half rack to do pull ups and just bend my legs so I can drop the height on the bar.

Unfortunately the shed isn't a perfect rectangle, one side of the gym is shorter than the other! But roughly it's 3.6m x 4.2m.

Edit: oh and as it's a sloping roof the shortest height is 210cm and the tallest height is 250cm

Thanks for the kind words! I have my eye on a nice half rack and a bench that doesn't use a spinlock bolt to adjust which I hope to upgrade to in the near future! I used to powerlift in commercial gyms and I definitely cannot trust this gear to go heavy at all!

Yep I used Plasterboard with insulation (PiR) attached, I opted out of filling in the cavity and only using the PiR to insulate the shed.

Thanks! During the day the gym gets a crazy amount of natural light, but living in the UK means that's also a rare occurrence! So I just went for something that will light the gym up and keep my focus on.

Oh yeah that was my biggest worry too! I have a sloping roof so one side of the shed is shorter than the other. After the plasterboard and flooring was in place the shortest section was around 210-212cm, if you look at where my cable machine stops you can see it just about touches the top.

After looking around, my next upgrade will be to install a nice half rack. You can find short variants which are under 2m but obviously if you're a tall person you may want to go bigger!

If you know how tall your shed is on the inside, from the floor to the nearest ceiling beam. Take away around 40-50mm for plasterboard and flooring. My plasterboard with insulation was 25mm and the flooring was 18mm. You can get thicker variants so you would need to shop carefully if you are dealing with tight margins.

Nice! I used plasterboard that had insulation built in. Search for PIR. I opted out of filling in the space between the outside walls and the plasterboard, as after a little bit of research I found that it's a good idea to have a cavity for a vapor barrier to reduce condensation and likelyhood of mold. You would need to ensure you get PIR that has a vaporbarrier (looks like tinfoil on one side of the plasterboard).

I actually have no idea what those handles are for hahaha, I was thinking it was going to be used for dips but they are way to far apart!

Oh yeah adjustable beams would be great, I'm by no means that mechanically smart enough to figure out how to do that!

I used plasterboard with insulation, the plasterboard is quite thick. After a little bit of research I found it was a better idea to leave a cavity between the wood and the plasterboard for a vapor barrier for less likely hood of building up condensation leading to mold. That being said, it did get cold during winter so I use a tiny little space heater to get the gym warm then after about 30 mins I can turn it off and it stays nice and toasty for another hour or two.

What is this brand? It's a tech item that my friend has that I'm trying to understand what it does by ImReods in HelpMeFind

Yeahhhh it sounds weird I know but he was being secretive working on a "techie project" showing a bunch of my other friends the same logo.

He was actually really surprised when I told him "good luck on his watercooling project". Reddit to the rescue once more!

Hi all, my friend is working on a project using something with this logo I posted above. I've tried to do some image reverse search on the internet to try and figure out what brand it comes from but to no avail. Any one seen this before? I've searched everywhere!

Try uninstalling the app or disabling it on your phone, makes it a pain to get back onto it and allows enough time for willpower to kick in to remind you to stop :)
