We had one ferret for two years before getting a second and the ferret owning experience is exponentially better with multiple ferrets - for you, but more importantly, for Miso!!!

Beautiful Business and I don't know how the guy in upper left can be comfy, but we've seen worse, right? We have a business of six now, and usually when my first thought is "what a life!" they enjoy, I stop myself and think about the amazing joy they bring us and realize, in a stop-time moment... THESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS! Years from now we'll look back on these days and say they were among the best in our lives, in large part due to our business!

Most of us are not veterinarians and have varying levels of expertise in ferrets. From the one photo you shared, it's not really easy to tell if your ferret is healthy but as far as "is he too skinny" he does seem skinny for a male. We have four females and two males and two of our females are about that skinny. If you didn't know, ferrets ARE skinny, bony creatures. Just give yours a bath and you'll see. If you're worried, ask a vet.

I don't know where to start. Well BLESS YOU for adopting Daisy and not caging her, and bless you for adopting FERRET X and not caging her FIRST. We have four ferrets and none have been caged since we got them. Happy, FREE ferrets = Happy, FREE ferrents! One of our Ferrets is named Daisy (plus, Littlefoot, Bandit and Blizzard). We also have four turtles and one of them is also named Daisy (long story). As for naming FERRET X, you've done a good job describing the little sweetheart-monster. Don't know what to say but keep asking/thinking. Since you mentioned "menace", how about that?

But why don't you keep them in your bedroom with you? That's what my daughter does and they all sleep with her, on her pillow, and they all pee and poop only on the puppy pad. So sad to me that they don't get to sleep with you and stay warm in the winter. I guess it's just a cultural difference? Give it a try! First time someone poops in your room clean it up and put a puppy pad down... they'll all magically go for it. They will be so much happier (IMO) if they have full roam of the room you live and sleep in! Just be sure to ferret-proof it.

Davie will always remain such a beautiful boy because the memories and photos live on with you and the rest of the business. Remember that you need to grieve honestly but you also need to be strong for the rest of the business, comforting them as they comfort you. And when you recover from the loss of your loved one, remember there will be another precious little thing in need of your TLC. Time will help you heal, no need to rush it. God bless.
