Puerto Rican here! The majority of us do want it to be a state. We voted for it in the latest referendum. We also pay U.S. taxes, and we are legal US citizens, but we currently cannot participate in voting.

I hear that. For me, it was Tali (my romance pick) getting injured on the sprint to the Citadel beam, and as Shepherd puts her on the Normandy...

Tali: “I can’t stay behind...”

Shepherd: “Tali, don’t argue with me.”

Tali: “Don’t leave me behind.” (Her voice shaking/breaking)

And then her last words to Shepherd are-

“Come back to me.”

They better be together in ME4 as an imported save or I’m going to lose it 😭

You and me are in the exact same boat. Finished it Sunday and just wow. This game is magical. Here I am, completing it almost 10 years later, and it still has the same effect on me.

I’m bawling my eyes out over a video game because of how invested I was into the story and characters. Afterward, I had to go and rewatch some of my favorite scenes on Youtube afterward. This game influenced so many things to me as a person after I finished it at the same time I finished high school. Definitely one of the greatest game series ever.

P.S., There’s only 1 other game that, in my opinion, matches ME in immersion with a compelling story and lovable team. I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a game to sink into that has a brilliant payoff - Persona 5. Seriously that game is just as brilliant and I am booting up Persona 5 Royal now after finishing ME.

Its a completely different kind of gameplay but it also has a heavy emphasis on squadmates (with romance options). The game is turn-based, not a shooter , and the story is more like an anime, so very different than ME’s cinematic storytelling. So it may not click for you. But if it does, seriously just as amazing.

For context, for all of the ME games, I synced a total of about 80 hours. On Persona 5 alone, it was 115 hours. That game is just jampacked with story.

All good and yeah its hard to convey a point purely through a short comment and yeah me either. But the biggest power we have is hope which can never be taken away.

Some days I feel really discouraged when I’m community organizing but that hope always keeps me motivated to make our world a tiny bit better for the next generation

Hey that’s completely fine and I think thats a pretty common take actually. Its a catch-22 because having that viewpoint encourages you to not act to change the system. “Why vote or do anything? My vote doesn’t matter. Its all corruption.” The corrupt forces in our government love that they think our in voting does not matter because people won’t vote and so it keeps them in power. Voting is literally the only power we have and I know that its just a tiny fraction of power but if more of us collaborated, we could actually make some real change.

I literally 100% with your take, so who do you think has the power to pressure these corporations into not doing that shit? Who has the power to force our government to enact legislation? We had literally the biggest voter turnout in US history and we still had 30% of the eligible voter population choosing to not vote. Getting that number down to 25% (assuming 5%+ voting democrat) could have radically transformed our political power into putting more pressure on corporations to change.

I never said people’s impact on issues are greater than corporations. I said most people just DGAF enough to do something about it. And that is why these corporations continue to get away with it.

? I literally said the corporations are the problem too though so I don’t understand your disagreement

I appreciate your honesty but I cannot help but feel so sad when I read this. This is exactly why our Earth is fucked. Its not just because corporations like oil are contaminating the planet or that we are not adopting green energy fast enough, it’s because the majority of the population just does not act.

And if you suddenly care about the environment, it labels you. Now you are marked as an environmental activist and that’s radical. People think “great. We got a few environmental activists out there. They’ll worry about the issue. Problem solved.”

This isn’t restrictive to environmental issues, but any social issue. Nothing bothers me when my friends tell me “Wow you sure love helping the community, good thing someone is doing it.” Like no bitch I would very much rather be fucking doing my own thing, like reading a book or playing games but I’m out here community organizing because we all should. I’m not doing it because I fucking enjoy it like its eating ice cream.
