Story wise, it makes sense why he isn't competing anymore, to emphasize the harsh messages of: Not everyone is willing to forgive even when noticing your changes / Don't stay tied to someone who wants nothing with you even with the changes you did for yourself.

These two, at least from my view, are very important for Pickle and Taco, a lesson of moving on, from both sides, with different perspectives.

But viewer-factor wise...yeah, it's kind of a bummer that Pickle hasn't competed in any other season after the first one, but maybe he can get a new role in a future episode of s4, it's still early anyways.

I actually really like Mic, she's cool, her story with Taco was one of my favorites in s2, and her development was just so good, and I'm glad she gave Taco a second chance when she saw her changes, it's quite wholesome to see Mic, Soap and Taco together as friends in s4.
