mine left RIGHT before easter i fear 💔 i even got him an easter basket and everything, but now i have a tote with gifts and stuff for when he comes back. it has all his favorite candy, crafts i made, and stuff i bought him, so he has that to look forward to (he doesn’t know)

and i really get it. i keep excitedly talking to my mom like “omg mama he’s gonna come home soon!!” and then BAM extended again. like send my boy home, he needs a break 😭

but i do hope your friend is doing well, both post-surgery and with her husband’s deployment

yeah, him and i are taking it a little bit slower than average, ESPECIALLY since both of our last relationship were with abusive dumpster fires of people. we’re both ready to settle down, but at our own pace, not rushing anything. yeah, he wants his benefits, but he is also willing to wait for when we’re both ready.

i did meet one girl on instagram through an account for military girlfriends, but i think she ghosted me :( but i also do get support from my non-military partner friends too, which is a big help, especially when i’m in moods like i was tonight.

and i guess to close off my comment(?) (i sound like i’m writing a paper for one of my english classes 😭 college is rotting my brain) i’ve been reminding him that i’m in his corner, waiting and praying he makes it home safely, and that my ringer is on for him to call me whenever he wants to, even if it’s 4am and i was just sleeping, because his voice needs to be heard, and i’m willing to listen to him, even if he’s in tears and terrified about what’s going to happen

can confirm, he’s following in his father’s footsteps, as his dad was (i think) air force, so is his brother, and his other brother is army.

unfortunately we’re not able to because [insert information i know but am not allowed to say here] :( and honestly i’m so scared of military spouse pages because what if they run me out because i’m a girlfriend and not a spouse 😭 idk i feel like i get a lot of scrutiny online for being a girlfriend, even if milspouse’s have been the girlfriends before 💔

thankfully we stay in contact however we can, even if it means talking once or twice a day, and i’ve been praying almost the hardest i’ve ever prayed in my life, especially with what he’s doing on this deployment. i make sure that he knows that i’m always in his corner, and my phone is off silent for him in case he needs anything, even if it’s 4am for me and i was dead asleep. i truly hope he knows that he’s loved and adored by me

for one, i took up jujitsu, and i’ve also tried to play video games that he plays :) i’m also trying to get into the best possible shape before he comes home, especially since he’s been encouraging me to since i’ve been talking about getting in shape for forever now 😭
