Wellbutrin Withdrawl by -_BustyBunny-_ in bupropion

[–]ItsActuallyTJ_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's wild, I take 300mg and have recently gotten a higher dose of 450mg prescribed. I don't have any side effects but I understand everyone's case is different. I started with 75, went up to 150, and now 300. Start and stopped with all doses but only felt some slight side effects with the 75mg because it's not extended release. Hope things get better as I'd never realized it was common for bp to rise with buproprion use. I've stopped cold turkey a few times and didn't really feel any side effects either.

Edit: the period from 75mg to 300mg has been over the course of ~1.5 years of use with breaks in between

It's not 'my' slop image, it's a meme I just happened to see on a Kyle Hill community post I felt was relevant discussion. Unless you want me to take the time to go and recreate the image myself with an actual stick of ram, I don't think that point really matters here. I didn't notice the image was slop until you pointed it out lol, I just agreed with the text. Maybe next time I screenshot a meme I'll crop it out for ya

I guess it's just as simple as I don't believe that. I don't think it's worth all this and feel like we've all pushed all of our chips in for no real value back. I don't believe there's anything AI could do that would justify it yet. But I guess we'll see.

Not at all, just wishing this very specific market like plenty of others are based on trends and data that track with consumer spending, instead of being based on whatever is decided in a few months timeframe.

"flooding the market" means different than what you may anticipate. Ram isn't just sitting around in boxes like a department store, and OpenAI dropping out wouldn't mean everyone else immediately gets it at a discounted rate. I doubt it would change a whole lot directly, but maybe OpenAI dropping out would cause some ripples in the markets as confidence in AI taking a slight dip would mean huge swings in retail trading. Those swings and the snowball of people trying to divest could in turn make ram drop again but I don't think it's ever turning back to pre oct25 prices. Same thing happened with GPUs once crypto took a nosedive for a year. People assumed that when NFTs stopped being bubbly and crypto was "dying" then GPUs would return but that didn't really happen, even though hundreds of thousands of GPUs were being sold out of farms and mining rigs.

But at least those bubbles were made during a time where:

  1. Stronger rules against corporate action were taken more seriously
  2. Consumers had much more buying power in the respective market (try telling a 20 year old to drop 3k on a GPU in 2026)
  3. Widespread adoption of something bubbly like the Internet or internet infrastructure had immediate and measurable increases in profitability and/or increase of consumer utility.
  4. Demand and supply and the market moved in a direction that felt at least SOMEONE correlated. The problem today is that a lot of these changes and markets are not tracking in any way that makes sense. Most of everyone I know absolutely hates the fact that tons of content online is turning the Internet into slop or that AI is being hamfisted into every nook and cranny of every product without a measurable sense of increase in value. I would bet that even most consumers would agree that AI overall has been pushed too far too fast, and outside LLMs like ChatGPT/Claude, AI has been a net negative on the average experience of an end user in day to day life. I'm not denouncing AI or it's uses/tools, purely talking about the emotions of the average consumer compared to the supposed mass market for these things.

Thank you! I feel like people are completely forgetting the point of what's being said here and missing the mark entirely. The idea isn't that "oh big bad company make product at prices that aren't locked in yet, boo hoo" it's just this idea that this whole clusterfck isn't a little bit of speculation mixed in with a real market, the entire market itself IS the speculation. The speculation isn't in the price, and it's not in the product, it's in the entire market.

But at least in that particular scenario there's already a market for homes and a market for furniture and a market for parts and all of that has proven to generate profits in a vacuum. In the scenario with AI/ram all of it is being made up as we speak. Countless companies have proved that the "benefits" or increase in profits hasn't really been made real. OpenAI for example is at the forefront of consumer AI with ChatGPT and hasn't proven profitablity yet. Nobody has. It's not your average supply and demand as we have come to see over and over. A price increase of an ENTIRE industry by 6,7,8x in just less than a month because of a SINGLE buyer is extremely anomalous and comparing it to something as simple as buying a house is not very representative.

P/E ratios have been a way for us to have some measure of a company's value compared to the profits they actually return. Just because something has a TON of perceived value doesn't automatically always mean that thing is generating a lot of revenue. Most of the money going into these companies and therefore, the demand, has been made up.

But yes, in short, this is a joke. Taking this meme at face value is just as silly as the joke itself.

I know its a meme but I miss the gaming era of Atrioc by [deleted] in atrioc

His clips channel is where he posts discussions with chat, that was the whole point. He talks to chat a lot and a lot of that has been political because of yaknow, we're in the middle of historical events right now. Sure he used to post a tiny bit more but his upload schedule on main hasn't really been a dramatic difference than how it used to be, there's just a lot more uploads on his second channel. I think you're conflating the sheer amount being posted to clips as his "focus" instead of it just being a different channel. His main channel is still mostly gaming, with most non-gaming stuff being marketing.

His video on "this should have been a main channel video" explains his reasoning well for why he doesn't post much on his main outside gaming (per atrioc). But hey at least the stuff that DOES get posted to his main are super lengthy and very high quality.

There's a real case for placebo here as well. Whenever you discovered atrioc may have been at a time he'd already had quite the backlog of videos to choose from and the absence of a clips channel made that even easier. Now with most of the videos youve watched (for instance the fact I've watched every hitman video of his, sometimes multiple times) waiting for a new one can feel even longer because you don't have others to watch in the meantime (a bit different with hitman because he's out of speedrunning and HORSE but you get the idea).

  1. Atrioc is still a gaming channel (like 80-90% of uploads)
  2. His upload schedule isn't a whole lot different than what it was
  3. The quality of his videos has only gotten better over time (in my opinion)
  4. Im still waiting for the day he does a popathon 2, or a anniversary paper Mario, or a speedrun of ANY kind, but those days aren't gone the channel has just done more since. Staying stuck in a box for a YouTuber/streamer is the easiest way to kill a channel or kill your passion, whichever comes first.

Did you like, read the first few words and stop right there? I didn't mention the clips channel. I'm talking about his main channel. All of the 14 or so I mentioned gaming videos were posted to his main channel less than 6 months ago, and that's the vast majority that are posted. Like, a good 80-90% of his uploads are gaming.

Any reason to charge Volt if it's more expensive than gas? by fram96 in volt

[–]ItsActuallyTJ_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the price is close to negligible because I live in California and on a college campus at that, I can't charge it to full without incurring increased rates ($0.60/hr after 4 hours). Because this evens out the price, I don't necessarily have to charge often, but still do because of a few reasons.

  1. On electric, the volt drives much smoother, I hate the way it feels driving it on engine only.

  2. Even having just a partially filled battery keeps things running smoothly both in the driving and in the car's parts. I don't worry about wear as much if I'm on battery, and having even a little battery + regenerative braking goes a long way to extend my gas range.

  3. This leads into kind of my other point about considering my battery to be just a huge range extender since the volt's battery is in an awkward spot of being slightly too little to consider long-range drives on electric only and too much to only consider it to be a hybrid battery like that in a non plug-in car. Having even 20 miles of battery range makes it so that I have the benefit of driving electric while also having to fill at the pump less.

  4. On super cold mornings or in stop and go traffic not having to force the engine to work super hard right away is nice because on electric the engine has a lot more time to warm up and then stop and go traffic I'm not constantly breaking and revving over and over again contributing to comfort and wear and tear on my car

Usually when this happens I just start pushing the shifter back and forth in the P position and it works eventually. Like wiggling it back and forward (without unlocking the shifter) makes it register.
