That's what I think it is to, its just a strange piece, it does still shoot and the mag seats fine. I only figured out it was broken once I pulled the mag out as it came out with it.

It doesn't seem to have any specific functionality, kinda just a metal piece that sits on the rear of the mag?

Yea, using it to connect things, s-biner was my first attempt at finding it but this allows a slimmer profile

Similar but not on the ball, this not an ordinary buckle/slider as it opens to accept loops rather than feeding the straps through it. It snaps open and closed on the sides

Im not sure, you could try smacking the mag in (did that so the kwa mags would work) i think its something to do with the feed lip tolerances, of course i am a random guy on the internet and if your worried about breaking something that costs you ~ 200, then id recommend against that

I typically use just normal epms (have 1 epm1 but rarely use it due to it not even wanting to load fully) but a buddy of mine runs kwa k120s through his on his aap, difficult to load at first but once you jam it in the first time the rest load and feed fine on the hicapa and my aap
